Mia pov

I scan the sitting róom which is nothing but a pile of mess ànd then turn to look at Valeria who is sitting on the sofa, a tired look on her face.

“ Say something will you?" I almost scream at her. Valeria is one hell of a clean freak so seeing the róom look so disorganized and her sitting there nonchalantly, nothing adds up.

“ What do yóu expect me to say? I walked to this. This is me thinking about how to skin whichever bastard did this.”

I frown at her explanation. Someone broke in ànd trashed our house.

" Why would someone do this? Unless whoever it is was looking for something?” Damian wonders out aloud.

Valeria and I turn to look at each other simultaneously.

" The book?” She shrieks, eyes wide.

" What book?” Damian àsks, looking between me and Val who shrugs, an indication she is not going to be the one to answer that.

“ It's a certain book anyone seems to go crazy about." I reply, keeping my explanation as short as possible.
