Chapter 7

In the vast dining hall, the architecture of the room was built to fit a king, with the tall white walls that blended with the black-gold encrusted glass table that was already filled with numerous dishes. The white cushioned chairs were pushed under the table decorated with white veils around them.

The gold chandelier filled the room with luminous light, and the chimney brought warmth to the cold atmosphere. The aroma of food was dancing about everyone’s noses as they couldn’t wait to dig in.

Ashley's parents and Rosalie were already seated at the table waiting for their children to join them.

Ashley walked leisurely to the table and sat on a different chair so she wouldn’t be close to Xavier. She could feel eyes on her and glanced at everyone giving them a small smile.

“Is everything alright my dear? Where is Xavier?” Rosalie questioned giving a glance at Ashley wondering why she decided to change from her normal seating position.

“He’s on his way” Ashley replied and forced a smile
