Alpha Devon's POV

I didn't know exactly what to think, her outburst left different thoughts running in my head and I can't seem to decipher any of them.

I quickly pushed her from my grasp and she staggered a bit.

“What did you just say?’’ I roared.

She slowly brought her palms to her mouth as if trying to take back what she said and I couldn't help noticing how shaky she was.

How can such a weakling be my mate? The fact that I bought her with my money makes it even more meaningless.

Her silence was demeaning, I felt anger surge through me and in a flash I grabbed her chin and pushed her to the wall, slamming her back on it.

She let out a painful whimper while I tightened my grip, drawing my face closer to hers.

“What makes you think we'd be mated?’’

“I'm…sorry'’ She was literally struggling for breath as she spoke.

But something in me believes we are mates and that's what angers me more. I felt the rush of a tingling sensation when I grabbed her waist earlier and Ian kept acting funny in my head. There's no way I'm going to stoop so low to mate a worthless breed.

“Listen to me, whatever you felt or heard up there had better end right here. I'm never going to accept you as my mate and nobody must hear about this. Do you understand me?’’ I intensified the pressure of my grip.

I watched her gasping for air as she tried nodding continuously and her gasps turned to gags then I let go of her.

She fell straight to the floor, massaging her chin while her chest heaved in rhythm with her heavy breathing. Her face was tomato red and tear traces were visible on her cheeks.

I tried thinking of what to do with her and a good idea popped in my head. I can't just let her go like that, she might spill what happened to anyone. I yelled out to my door post guards and they rushed in immediately.

“Get this crap out of here, throw her in the dungeon.’’

“Yes Alpha.” They chorused before matching towards her. I heard her gasp out as they both grabbed her by her arms.

“I'm sorry Alpha, I didn't mean to say it out loud'’ She pleaded but my eyes were busy haunting through her body.

No doubt, she has a perfectly curved shape but she's just too below my class for my mate, I can't accept her.

She kept struggling as they dragged her to the door and she finally broke out of their grip. She fell down on her knees and glued her palms together, raising it in front of her lips.

“Please Alpha, don't let them take me to the dungeon. I promise to do whatever you want me to do just please…’’ Her wet long lashes stuck together, giving her a river goddess like look but there is no way I'm listening to that.

I just need her to be kept out of my sight if that would destroy the mate connection.

I grabbed her hair in a handful and made her face me.

“That is where you belong, scum, you should know your place and learn to stop blabbering your mouth where you are not supposed to.” I pushed her off. “Take her away!’’

The guards grabbed her and resumed dragging her out while she kept wailing and pleading, sending echoes in the passageway as they left.

I walked back to my armchair and a deep exhale escaped my mouth as I sat. It's been six years since I became Alpha and I've been expecting my mate but she never showed. How possible is it that a common slave I bought becomes the mate? A worthless omega.

“What have I missed?’’

I heard the most familiar voice I've known my whole life. I watched as he made his way towards me.

“Luther?’’

I couldn't hide my surprise as I stood to give him a brotherly hug. It's been just two months since we last saw but it feels like two years.

He's my cousin who happens to be the only family I have left. We grew together, did everything together and were usually inseparable until responsibilities came between us, but our bond remained.

He is the Alpha of the Redmoon pack, the neighboring pack and together, we made alliances and always won battles against other packs, this is why the Bloodmoon and Redmoon are the most notable packs.

“Brother.” he called as we separated.

“I wasn't expecting you.’’ I said the obvious as we walked towards my cellar to grab drinks.

“Thought I should surprise you.’’ He shrugged and a deep sigh surged through my lips.

“Are you fine?’’ he squinted like he has been expecting me to say something, probably concerning his first statement.

“Seems you became more hefty.’’ I avoided his question but a creepy smirk formed on his face.

“Hefty enough to drown that pretty omega in the pool of pleasure?” His reply swept me off my feet and I faced him abruptly.

“Don't give me that look, I saw her being dragged away by your guards.'’

‘’And you think I had something with her?’’ I felt so embarrassed to admit the act.

‘’Isn't she your new plaything?’’

A scoff escaped my lips and I made to walk away but he came to my front, That smirk still playing on his lips.

‘‘Get off it, she's too skinny for me.’’ I lied.

‘’You mean sexily slender?’’ He licked his bottom lip with a flirtatious wink but it only seemed to upset me.

“I wouldn't have anything with such a sleazy bitch.” I walked away but his next statement stopped me.

“She's pretty though, will you let me have her then?’’

I turned slowly to face him. His face had no actual expression so I can't tell if he is serious or not.

“What are you saying?’’ I tried to clear my thoughts.

He exhaled deeply and I creased my brows. “I think I…I felt the mate bond to her when I walked past them earlier.’’

  • Mated to the Cruel Alpha: His Rejected Omega Mate   Chapter 128

Evelyn's POV After what felt like years of darkness I fling my eyelids open sharply to meet a blurry white surface. I blinked my lids repeatedly to clear my view when I heard a voice. Or should I say voices?I felt a warm sensation on my forehead, I traced the direction it came to see… Luther? Bloody yes! He was the one. On seeing this, my vision cleared up immediately. “Hey.’’ He called softly. I tried to sit up abruptly, but a striking pain hit my abdomen, earning a whimper from me.‘‘Fuck! Easy, you still need some rest.’’ He grabbed me carefully, helping me sit up. That was when I noticed a shadow on my left side through my peripherals. I almost jumped down from my position when my gaze caught Devon’s. “Hey.’’ His voice was so soft, it sounded weird. “What are you… what happened?’’ I faced Luther and eyed Devon again.“You're recovering,” Luther spoke, and everything came rushing into my memory. The immense coughing, the blood, my screams.“My children! Where are my childr

  • Mated to the Cruel Alpha: His Rejected Omega Mate   Chapter 127

Evelyn's POV “Then should I get you water, my lady?” Merit came again, she was never going to get tired I guess. I ignored her yet again. She has been convincing me to eat something, but I wouldn't even respond to her.She sighed and finally left. I laid my head on the dining table, looking at nothing in particular. I felt empty. I felt dejected. My life became like a burden to me. I feel so sick and I don't know exactly what is wrong with me. Worse is nobody cares, or Luther doesn't care. He never came to see me, he doesn't ask after me. He hates me now. Even I hate myself. My children were the only pillar I clung onto. Their love was enough to keep me alive and waiting for Luther's forgiveness. I'm sure the pack members hate me now, probably excluding my maids though. I lifted myself wearily, dragging myself to the bed. I reached for my phone and stared at Luther's number, but a knock came on the door. The person came in when I wouldn't respond, and my eyes almost popped out

  • Mated to the Cruel Alpha: His Rejected Omega Mate   Chapter 126

Alpha Devon's POV A genuine smile lingered uncontrollably on my lips. It was the first time in four years that I felt genuinely happy. The thoughts of having some tiny little feet pattering the floor sent a hearty chuckle off my lips. “We're here, Alpha.’’ My driver announced, turning the engine off. A fresh wind hit my face as I stepped out. I started my way briskly into the building. What could possibly go wrong now? I would be having my children soon! ‘‘Hey.’’ A familiar voice called out. It had better be my ears malfunctioning. “Finally. I've been waiting for you.’’ She came to view from the waiting room, and it wasn't my ears.A deep sigh escaped my lips. Turns out something could actually go wrong. My smiles dissipated.“Why are you here, Kyra?” “Why do you guys always ask me that silly question?’’ She said as she rolled her eyes. “There is no room for you here. You once misused your privilege, you can't have it again.’’ I continued my way inwards. “We both know that b

  • Mated to the Cruel Alpha: His Rejected Omega Mate   Chapter 125

Evelyn's POV Trailing my eyes on him from his face to his feet, I knew at this moment that I both hated and dreaded this man in front of me. He was my doom! I looked away from him with a silent sigh, trying to gather up my nerves that were depleted first. “Greetings to you too, Devon.’’ I managed to produce a firm tone, even as my insides were crashing down already. Every word that left his lips, there was no way anyone around wouldn't read the meaning of it.‘‘What now? Wonder Woman in action?’’ He jeered. Somehow, I never get to miss his nasty smirks.“Cut to the chase, Devon. Why are you here?’’ I took a sharp breath, blotting up my true feelings behind an unaffected facade. “You know, Evelyn, that's one thing about you. You're so adept at gauging up your emotions. But I suppose Luther has been too foolish to decipher them, too consumed by his selfish desires to recognize your true nature! But well what does it matter now?" His previously furrowed expression transformed into

  • Mated to the Cruel Alpha: His Rejected Omega Mate   Chapter 124

Evelyn's POV My heavy eyelids paved the way to a rather confined view, despite how much I widened them. It had become a mundanity every morning I awake, after my anticlimactic date with Luther three days ago. I sat up on my bed. Shoving my bedding aside, I went to the bathroom. Did my morning routine and retired back to bed. That is how it has been every morning for the last few days too. Nothing changed. Luther hasn't tried to come to see me, which means he was still really mad at me.I barely left my room, even if it was certain Luther never brought anyone in on the discovery. If my instincts still function correctly, then I guess the incredible knowledge was just limited to myself and the two colluding brothers. I spend the whole of my days in my room. I no longer see the kids often, except for sure they ask after me and are brought to see me. But they haven't since yesterday, and it bothered me.Sabrina isn't an exemption, except that I never approved of her visits. She had
