“What is it you brought me out here to talk about Dre?” I say, picking up a rock and throwing it into the river. I feel him tense at the blatant disrespect that I was giving him. It was late, the moon was out and we were deep into the forest surrounding the pack. I had a feeling that he would get suspicious of me soon and try something. He thought he had everything planned out and no longer needed me in the picture now that he had seen the reaper. Little did he know that that wasn’t the case. In my heart I was starting to see that not all of the supernatural beings were bad, but the ice that surrounded it wasn’t completely thawed. Tink was helping me see otherwise. I regret my choice of taking her away, while I still despised most of them. I had chosen to align myself with the exact type of people that caused my parents death.

The hardest thing was feeling like I was betraying my parents by feeling any sort of sympathy towards her. I’m a hunter, I kill all the things that are not hum

I hide my smirk behind my teacup as Dre hurls his glass across the room letting out an angry roar as it shatters against the wall. It was the fourth hunter Dre had brought in this week and instead of looking terrified like the other three, this one carried the similar air of indifference that Gabriel carried. As soon as Dre discovered that he wasn’t able to use the talisman himself, he went on a rampage throughout the house, yelling at everyone to bring him any hunter they could find. So the witch hunt for the hunters began. The other three we saw this week trembled in fear at Dre’s presence, obviously younger and weaker hunters, and had no idea what the talisman even was. The fourth however was different. Dre was already pissed off at him for not addressing him as Alpha.“So you know what this is?!” Dre shouts at him, holding Gabriel’s talisman up for the hunter to see.He just rolls his eyes, as if that was the stupidest question he could have possibly asked, “Now now no need to sho

I follow behind him, thinking about what he just said to me. Was the ever so cold and callous hunter having remorse? I don’t know what changed within him but instead of feeling relief I felt a sense of unease. He was always so careful and kept his feelings neutral. Never letting anyone know what he was feeling or thinking. Sadly I didn’t have much time to think about it because the next morning when I woke I opened the door to my prison to find his door across the hall wide open. Something was wrong. Carefully stepping inside it was a mess. Clothes thrown about, a lamp shattered where it was knocked off the nightstand, someone was looking for something. Glancing around I notice a folded up piece of paper, shoved under the bed. Bending down I pick it up. My ears twitch as footsteps hurry down the fall towards me. I quickly shove the paper down my bra and stand up. Keeping my back to the door as the footsteps make it to the doorway. I don’t need to turn around to know that it’s Dre st

The next few days proceeded the same. I spend most of them locked up in this ridiculous room only being taken out for meals or if Dre wants to torment me further with all of his absurd future plans to make me his mate. On occasion Gabriel was allowed to chaperone me in the interior gardens. The only safe place I have is my bathroom, so whenever I can I go there to work on harnessing my powers but I try not to spend too much time there so as to not arouse suspicion. I haven’t been visited by Nikolai since the first night and my heart hurts with what he’s going through. I don’t know him well but I’m sure watching the people you have been tasked with to protect die and the only thing you can do about it is to destroy a sacred bond is taking its toll. I can’t imagine the amount of devastation that would come to our world if he was forced to succeed in that task. Gabriel has slowly been opening up to me. He is tasked with watching me when my other guards are, predisposed. There is somethi

I’m sitting in Dre’s office with my arms crossed as I scowl at Dre who has made himself comfortable in the chair behind his desk. Piper is lounging comfortably on one of the other sofa’s drinking a glass of wine and Gabriel is leaning up against one of the walls, his usual bored look painted on his face.“Aside from your stupid plan to ‘claim me’. Are you finally ready to tell me why the hell you dragged me from my home?” I snapped at him.“Watch your tone my dear I don’t take kindly to disrespect,” he replies cooly. I remain silent and wait for him to continue. A wide grin breaks across his face, “you are here of course, to finish our deal we created those few months ago. You are here to be my Luna.”I raise an eyebrow and frown at him. “Did you hit your head Dre? Because last I checked, I already had a mate.” He waves his hand in the air, “that’s a mere practicality that I have taken the liberty of working out.” I furrow my eye brows at his statement, wracking my brain for any way

  • Mated to the Devil, becoming the fae Luna   Azrael

I’m dancing with my little sister, a wide grin plastered on her face as I grab her hands and twirl her around the room. I let my normally hard exterior thaw slightly as a smile ghosts my face. All of a sudden I cry out and grab my head as a searing pain shoots through it and I feel a snap in my chest. The music comes to a stop and I hear the clatter of dishes crashing to the floor as nearly everyone gasps. I try to level my breathing as I scan the faces of my pack members, a few break out in quiet sobs, and don’t need any more clarity to understand what just happened. There was only one thing that could cause that sort of reaction throughout the entire pack. Their Luna, my mate Ilayda, was gone, forcefully taken from the borders of our home. Fear makes me break out in a cold sweat as Drago comes barreling into the ballroom slamming the doors open. “Alpha!” he shouts, sprinting towards me. Fear and despair flashing in his eyes that I’m sure match my own. He has blood coating the back
