Chapter Nine

He pressed his lips to my throat, right where he knew he would mark me on full moon night. In front of my family and our pack members, I was asked to sign papers that would bound us legally.

"Kim," I stilled for a second. I slowly turned my head and saw my mother with Amanda holding her by the shoulder, supporting her weight.

I rushed at my mother and pulled her in a hug, "Oh, I'm so glad, so so..." She was safe. They saved her.

She pulled back resting her shivering hands on my shoulders.

"I always wanted to see in a white dress. Thank you for fulfilling my demands." Her gaze turned behind me. I couldn't see his reaction.

Momma used to see a stupid tv show. I thought she was just saying that she wanted to see me in a white wedding dress and everything like they showed in the show.

"You shouldn't come out. You are weak," I told her. Her eyes were small, black lips, a tired look on her face.
