Maya
“My Princess…”
My eyes flew open, at that voice. “Wake up, we are here to deliver your clothes and accessories.”
I stared at the maid in front of me. From her smell, she was a vampire, however, she directed her face to the ground. It was more like she was afraid of something.
“W-what?”
“Where is Delilah and Raven?” Since they were the people that led this entire thing, weren’t they supposed to be here at least?
“They are helping Queen Zoraida with the banquet arrangements. Please come freshen up and check your clothes.” she stated. “We arranged it already for you, in the closet. The light is also fixed.”
At her words, I jumped up excitedly. Hell knows I didn’t come here for this, but what girl didn’t want this?
In my purple tank top and lemon SpongeBob shorts, I walked rapidly towards the closet. I heard the maid snap her hands— about 7 other maids rushed in.
“Wow,” I said, eyeing the renovated closet.
Everything was in a transparent glass, like a fashion design shop would look like. White translucent lights, there were various sections for gowns, shoes, bags, trousers and casuals. C-O-L-O-R-S!
It was almost like I was a charmed princess in a Barbie school. I couldn’t believe these things still existed, especially in a vampire Kingdom?
“Where did you get all this stuff?” I asked alarmingly.
“You don’t like it, my Princess? We did it prior to Princess Delilah’s coaching, we can change it immediately if you don’t—”
“No! No, it’s beautiful.” I complimented instantly.
“Ahh, okay…” she trailed.
Back at the orphanage, we only bought new pairs of clothes once a year. Whoever dressed well, had to work himself and earn his own pennies. This seemed unreal… I mean wasn’t this the end of the world? Where did they get all this stuff?
“It is done.” One of the girls told the leading maid, as I touched each dress and outfit. “So beautiful, awwn…”
“Add some petals to make her skin radiant. She should look her very best today,”
It seemed like they were preparing my bath. Whatever they did, felt good so I didn’t rebel. After I was done checking each clothing,
“My princess, today officially marks the fulfilment of your wedding night.”
“Huh?!” My eyes stared at her unbelievably.
“What do you mean, wedding night?”
I gulped, in unbelief at her words.
“Due to your failing health, the rules were exempted for you. Now your sane and vibrant, we have to start the quest for an heir to succeed the Crown Prince,”
“Hell no,” I seethed. “I-I’m not even suitable to bear a child. I’m just 18!”
As I yelled those words, someone barged in.
“Get out, all of you!” Delilah said, making me breathe in relief. I ran into her arms, hugging her. “I’m sorry I left, best friend.” she said.
“I can’t bear a child for anyone. Javier’s going to help me revive my parents, that’s where it ends, right?”
“You don’t have to do anything you won’t do.” Her words were soothing, serene and calm.
“T-Thanks.”
“Yeah, have your bath. We have to go to the Fronters, Maya.” she said.
“Fronter? What’s that?”
“A place we train our vampires. You have to figure out what your blessed with,” she started.
“I’m not understanding,”
Her hands took mine, gently pushing me into the bathroom. “Have a bath, first. I would explain it when you’re out.”
“Okay…” I trailed, closing the gigantic door the minute I entered. The tub was surrounded with petals and scenting flowers. I entered the cold water, feeling a surge of relief, humming as I rubbed my entire skin, washing the dirty off.
I rushed bathing, wrapping a towel around my breasts and dashing out instantly. Next thing, I threw on a comfy black hoodie, and yellow sweatpants. I packed my hair in a bun, and that made me look like a school janitor. Didn’t care though…
“Definitely not!”
The magazine Delilah read, came down and she stared at me awkwardly. “What, why?” I asked.
“You have to look your best as would-be Queen, Maya.” she spelled out.
“I’m my best.” I groaned. “Okay, let me put on some makeup.”
I walked to the dresser, putting some eye liner, powder and tangerine lipstick. I smudged it, applying some lip gloss. In a way, my face was out. I looked pale, however.
Is it just me or my weight was increasing?
“Your clothes are still weird!”
“Aish…” I groaned. “Let’s just get on with the training? I mean, this isn’t a fashion show and didn’t you tell me everything here was my choice?”
“Fine.” Delilah replied, standing up. Her hands moved to her ears to remove her earrings. She wore them for me, wiping off some smudged part of the lip gloss, with her thumbs.
“T-Thanks…” I trailed awkwardly, putting on some crocs.
“Let’s go.”
“Are you gonna tell me?” I asked her, as we moved to go out.
“Oh yeah, the abilities… I have to say something before I tell you though.” she said.
“What is it?” I asked, as we opened the door. Delilah locked my door, handing me the keys which I put in my sweat’s pocket.
“Scarlett was awoken today.” she spat out, with a devious glance in her eyes.
“Who is Scarlett?”
“Javier’s ex-lover. They were together before the rebel.” She explained.
“Good, my virginity won’t be threatened again. Hope they find peace together.” I snorted out, unthinkably.
Delilah stopped in her spots, staring at me with narrowed eyes. “You’re not jealous?”
I nodded, “No, why…”
“The servants also whispered Javier couldn’t take his hands off her. You’re not still jealous?” she grunted.
“Nope, it’s really creepy to have gorgeous Prince Javier at my ass 24/7 let alone be married to him,” I retorted.
By now, we were already outside, entering some building which had a dark hallway entrance.
“Well…they were said to sleep together, Maya. That’s why I placed emphasis on your outfit today so you seduce him excessively--"
“I’m not interested in making him want me, let’s begin the training.”
My speed increased, making my heart thud rapidly. My bite mark suddenly throbbed, hurting a bit, I breathed it off. Right now, we had reached the supposed Fronters. I could see different people training excessively.
“He’s your husband!”
Her hands held mine suddenly, with angry eyes. I’ve never seen her so mad at me.
“When I tell you of any chick he goes in bed with, you’re supposed to go confront her, as would-be Queen. Snap her neck, maybe…punish her, banish her,” she continued.
“Just do anything to make her regret sleeping with your husband.”
At her words, my bite mark throbbed again. This time it itched with aching… and longing.
“Let’s.Begin.Training.” I forced myself to seethe out.

Maya I kicked my legs quick, faster, more rapidly. I did it till I was gasping and just when I went out of breath, I collapsed on the floor with a glare at Delilah. “Why did you stop?” I cleaned the sweat off my forehead, with a frown. “Why am I even doing this? I mean, I came here for something entirely different.” “Thought we went over this, Maya.” She drew nearer, bending down with a pat on my back. “Nobody’s your friend here. While you wait, the best form of attack, might be defense.” Her words sounded meaningful. Whenever I remembered how I was compelled to marry Javier, however, it fumed me. “I-um, have to go.” I murmured, standing up and walking out hurriedly, pacing my footsteps. “Maya!” she called after me. “Maya, wait!!” I groaned when her hands brushed my shoulders, the minute I was outside. “What??” She stared at me astonishingly, “You can’t give up, yet. We’ve barely begun anything.” “Why do we have to begin anything? I didn’t fucking ask for this.” I seethed at
Javier She’s not leaving me. Hell damnation, she just isn’t. Even if she wanted to, our bond won’t make her to. It won’t allow any of us to live with it. Not telling her that though… She was going to learn… “Is that everything?” I arched my brow asking her. Delilah went for shopping with Claudia and didn’t even know about my companera leaving. She’d be so disappointed on finding out. “Yeah, I um, returned the stuff you bought except the undies… I guess.” Maya replied. Her face seemed shy from the mention of that, cheeks reddening. It was really cute. “I don’t mind, they’re your stuff now. The princess is entitled to a myriad of luxuries,” “That’s nice, but I’m not that anymore, am I? This union was fake…” she stated, with half a chuckle. “…we should get going, Javier.” “I’m not taking you, snowflake. I’m still in the process of learning how to drive well.” I smirked at her, saying. “Ambroz is.” I helped her lift the little bag, watching her startled expression. “Oh…” she trai
Javier “There’s no way you’re allowing your companera walk that forest alone, is there?” “Nope.” I answered Ambroz immediately. “It’s too dangerous. She wouldn’t have understood if I told her that.” I took some of my stuff from the car. It included a blood bag, my wallet and phone. There was no way I was going to feed my mate to the wolves…. … Maya Coos, clicks… There were croaking sounds of ravens and crows in the sky. It could be creepy for a first timer, but certainly not for me. I’ve been used to this for a long while… Have traveled on foot alone, growing up. “This isn’t a big deal, dammit.” I snorted out, muttering to myself. A gentle breeze blew and so could I hear the rustles as I moved. I couldn’t wait to meet Julian. I had so much to tell him! Of course, apologizing was the first on my list, for not coming back… Goodness knows how he must have been worried. “Breathe in, Maya.” I told myself, with an intent to use my vampiric speed to my advantage. “Out…in, let’s
Maya *Back to reality* … I woke up on shore after surprisingly blacking out. My clothes were tattered and torn, barely hanging on my body. Luckily, my sunlight pendant was still on my neck. Yet, I felt nauseous, my heart ached for something. I let out a cough, gasping out water which definitely entered my system after almost drowning to my death. “Damnation…” I trailed, after I realized I had gone off my path. I didn’t even know where this route led to. It was the other side, of the waterfall. More like the end… My eyes widened at the realization that the wolves might come searching for me on this side. “Fuck!” I hissed, standing up and dusting the sane parts of my clothes that could be dusted. Where was Javier and Ambroz? “Maya…” A voice seeped into my head, from the waters. I looked down, watching it crawl to where I stood. It was slippery, blue and natural looking. “What…do you want from me?” I gasped, holding my throat. It seemed like I was choking. Tears formed in my e
Maya “Get out.” She seethed at Julian who held a resistant look. “D-do I have to?” “I said get out!!” she shrieked angrily, demonstrating with her stick. I watched Julian drop the napkin in his hands, scurrying out like Senora Savannah had asked. At the slam of the door shut, I straightened my back stretching and yawning widely. “You’re still with this stupid rebellious behavior,” She strolled towards me, before stamping her foot in assertiveness. “I should have isolated you since you were a child. You just seem to disrupt everything here, breaking rules, thinking that makes a statement but it doesn’t.” I looked at her, then up at the ceiling, wondering what this old woman was all about. Her face was stern, filled with hate and disgust at me. “We never did get along,” I muttered. “What?!” She moved nearer, raising his stick. “How dare you talk back at me you mannerless—” “Aish…that’s enough!” I replied just as she hit me with her walking stick. On her face was a startled expre
Javier I started losing my senses few fucking seconds after I returned Maya to her district. It was safer for her there, but my darkness got pissed. I hated the fact that I couldn’t tease her like before, or even piss her off… The most annoying damn thing that followed this, was the threat sent to my breakfast table by an unknown person. “What is this?!!” I yelled, with my nose flaring in anger at who dared to put garlic in my bloody food. “Who.Did.This.” About three servants rushed inside my room, and I threw the spoon at them. They dodged it instantly, trembling on their spots. “Who prepared this food?” I snarled, baring my fangs. “Forgive me, my Prince. I deserve to be punished whole fully for this!” The head servant bowed at me, stretching his hands on the floor. “Forgive us, Your Highness!! This is all our fault!!” The remaining two trembled on their spots, shivering as my darkness surrounded the room. Vibrations riveted through, as the entire room begun to darken. I knew
Maya “What are you doing, Maya?! Are you trying to get yourself in trouble again?” Julian yelled, at me. In my hands, was a telescope I stole from one of the guard’s quarters. I was going to use it to plan my escape plan outside once more. “Nobody has to find out,” I grumbled. There was an average height guard right at a high building just beside the entrance. It seemed like Senora made the security tighter. “You’re crazy!” I smirked at Julian’s words, straightening my white shirt and carrying on with my mission. “I’m not, I just don’t want to lead a boring life,” I snorted. All of a sudden, my vampire hearing heard clicks. I directed my eyes to the outside guard, only to see him raising his gun towards the window. “Juliannn!!!” I yelled, using my speed to take him down instantly. Shots tethered in that instant, making my eyes bolt in shock at why the security guard just shot at us. “W-What’s h-happening?” His words were shaky. “I have no idea. Whatever it is, we need to hid
Javier“What do you, fucking want?” I snapped at Scarlett, who called the phone.I could hear cracks and pants of breath, this made me stand up with searching eyes.“I made a mistake, Javier. I underestimated Dimitri’s 21st century abilities. He’s much stronger than me now—”“What are you talking about?” I let out, asking worriedly.“I shouldn’t have gone after him alone. I’m trapped now…” she sobbed. I could hear breeze swooning and could tell she was running. “I don’t want to die, Javier.”“Where are you? Where are you?!” I yelled over and over again but got no response.“No! No!!” she suddenly yelled. I could hear cackles, and sneaky tones which made my blood boil.“No one’s gonna save you now, little Scarlett…” A familiar voice trailed. I began pacing round the room, searching for the car keys. Dammit! I couldn’t even drive.Ambroz, I fucking needed his help. I ran out of the room, zooming with my speed to his apartment across the palace.“Stay away from me!!!” Scarlett yelled. “A
