Audrey's POV
I gazed at him in shock. My lips slightly parted with words stuck between them.
"Audrey, I don't understand. What happened last night?"
My eyes widened a bit out of curiosity. "Wh…what...do...yo...last night, you and I?" I stuttered.
He rolled his eyes away from me, leaving me in the utmost confusion. I didn't know whether he was joking or denying everything to me.
My mind started to race. Was that the reason why he said my parents wouldn't like it? Was he trying to deny everything and not have anything with me?
Didn't he want me last night when his hand roamed my body, touching and caressing me? Didn't he mean everything? Was it all for a joke when he sank his teeth into my shoulder?
As I recalled the mark fading on my shoulder, I felt my eyes burn with questionable tears. Maybe it faded off because he had no interest in me. I closed my eyes, trying to stop the tears from spilling down and not embarrass myself in front of him.
He didn't even spare me a glance anymore, focusing on the road. I kept to myself until we got to his pack, my eyes and mind as blank as they could be.
The excitement I felt when he took me from my brother was gone and replaced with something I couldn't say. I wanted to go back home.
Lock the door on me and cry, and forget everything, forget about.
"Won't you get down from the carriage, Audrey?" His voice interrupted my thoughts.
I flashed him a small smile, stretching my hands to meet with his own as he carefully pulled me from the carriage.
My eyes widened in awe at the sight of the pack. When he said I would like it, he didn't tell me that it was like a princess-built castle and something that looked extra out of this world.
It was as if I was staring at a magical castle, the narrow end the same as the one in front of me, the guards situated everywhere, wolves in human Clothing, all wearing the same uniform.
"Shall we?" He spoke up again, flashing me a grin as he stepped inside.
They all bowed down at us, all the guards and maids. One opened the door for us to enter and instantly picked off Asher's shoes, replacing them with a different one.
"Wh–" I paused.
"Take off your shoes, Audrey." He said to me.
"Ohh..." I retorted, bending down to take it off when he stopped me.
"Don't worry. She'll do it."
The maid smiled at me sadly, taking my shoes off while another placed a new one in front of me. We continued walking inside the room, his hand in mine, my mind still trying to process everything, when I met a tremendous shock of my life.
"Ahhh!" I shrieked out all of a sudden.
I snatched my hand from Asher, rushing to his back and taking cover as my heart beat frantically. There were two Ashers. There are two people, two men, who bear a remarkable resemblance to each other.
"Audrey, who–"
"Who's that? Who's that? Don't tell me it's magic! Who's that!" I yelled out at him, pointing towards the second Asher.
I heard a small cackle of laughter as Asher left my back, taking some steps away from me and taking a stand beside the other Asher.
I glanced at both of them, their hair and eye colour the same, even though they were the same height. The only noticeable difference I could see was nothing. They were fucking identical! As if Asher had been cloned.
"Audrey, let me introduce you to my twin brother, Alaric."
I glanced at the other brother, who was unexpectedly grinning at me with a cocked eyebrow at how he stared at me. His lips curled up into a knowing smile.
"Have we met before?" I muttered quietly but still loud enough for him to hear.
He opened his mouth as if you answered, but Asher's voice came first. "I don't think so, and if you have met, it would probably be at last night's party. He was present, too."
My eyes widened, and that was when everything started to make sense. The man that I saw last night, the one that pinned me against the wall, took off my cloth. The one that I kissed wildly and wanted more of his touch.
My finger raised without me even knowing, pointing straight to him, without letting me say anything as if I knew the thoughts on my mind. The smile on his face grew wider as he curtsied at me,
"That's me, princess." He replied.
I felt my throat get caught with words, my world spinning suddenly. My eyes flashed back to Asher, who was staring at his brother.
That was why he said he didn't know anything about what happened last night. He was not trying to call it off as a one-night thing but because he had no idea.
"Alaric, how about you show her around, and once you're done, ask the maids to prepare her for the party to happen tonight. I have something to attend to."
"Of course, brother." I heard him reply, the voice matching the same one saying slutty words to me last night.
No wonder he kept saying those words. "You're a pretty lady and very bold for your age."
As I thought of those words, I could not help the heat that rushed throughout my body.
"My lady, your face is so flushed. It would give out everything."
I staggered off, staring at him with anger laced in my eyes and an accusing finger pointed at him.
"You used me!" I snapped at him.
"What?"
"You knew you weren't Asher and slept off with me last night. I called Asher's name! You're not even Asher! Why!"
A smile lit up his face, one that, even though I was angry, I won't deny made him a lovely man.
"I'm your mate. We both felt the mate bond. What's there to worry about, Princess?"
"Call me that again, and I'll tell Asher what you did and have you stoned."
He rushed towards me suddenly, closing up on me with little to no gap left between us. "And what would you tell him, princess?"
"That I fucked you last night, or that I'm your mate and the moon goddess destines us?"
He leaned his lips closer to mine. My breath hitched as his eyes lowered to mine. My heart started beating rapidly in my chest as I watched him, wanting to know if he would kiss me or not do anything.
"You know," he started, his voice husky and quiet.
"I've been thinking back to yesterday. For virgins like you, we need to keep trying so you'll get accustomed to it and reduce the pain. What do you say? We skip showing you around, I take you to my room, and we try again?"
I gulped down, clasping my hand into a ball. He affected me, one I was sure of. I wanted to pull away from him but, at the same time, stay close to him. He flicked his eyes towards me, bringing his mouth close to my ears and flicking his tongue.
"What do you say, Princess? Imagine me ramming inside you again, but this time with no pain, changing you in different positions and having my large palms roam around your huge titties and, not to talk of it, finally sinking my teeth back into your shoulder, bringing your wolf pleasure too?" He whispered.
I clenched my jaw and thigh, my mouth and brain, not having the time to process any words. My mind returned to last night, how he held me against the wall, his dick inside me, and my breasts pressed on his chest.
"Princess..."
I closed my eyes as he started to suck down on my ears, one of his hands snaking to my waist and pulling me close. I could feel my panties getting wet from his little action, his other hand on my chest, pressing down and massaging my breast right from outside my cloth.
His lips left my ears suddenly, leaning to my lips as he started to kiss me. I didn't even mind where we were as I kissed him back. All of my senses were already lost. He pulled away from me with a smirk on his face, leaving me in a state of shock as I gulped down,
"Welcome to the Nightshade pack, Princess. I'd have loved to take you to my room, but we have a party to plan." He said.
He closed on me again and to my ears. "Maybe when I show you around, I'll have time to fuck you in one of our pretty gardens."
With that, he walked away, leaving me alone. And that was when I knew I was in deep trouble with Alaric of the nightshade pack.
Audrey’s PovI slept so well, more than I had ever rested in my entire time here, even more than when Asher told me he wanted to be with me. Yesternight was a moment I had always dreamed about, Asher breathing down on my neck, his hand on every part of me, kissing me, touching me, only just that he didn’t take me to his room and lay me down with him.But half-bread was better than none, and the fact that he did everything for me was more than enough. I was smiling as I absentmindedly stared at the maids clearing the room to take my morning bath.“My lady, the bath is ready.” One of them broke into my thoughts.I jumped up from the bed almost immediately, throwing the duvet away and dancing to the bathroom.I didn’t mind any of the stares I received from them. All that was on my mind was Asher and how he would be in breakfast, what he’d be wearing, how his hair would be packed, and how lovely he would look when he saw me.I wished I could brag into Selene’s face, tell her how much the p
Audrey’s POVDinner was silent for the first time since I got here. There was no discussion about how my day went, the occasional glances from Alaric, or expecting him to disrupt the table, and a part of me missed that. The only thing close to that was the burning stare I was getting from both parties, Asher and his so-called girlfriend.I continued to pick through my food; my appetite had already lost the instant I set my eyes on her, but when I tried to leave the room, Asher drew me back and begged me to eat.“So Audrey..”I looked up to meet her eyes, taking in her beauty. Her eyes had this cunningness to them, peering deeply into your soul and wanting to know every one of your dark secrets,“Is this where you live now?”Even though her question was not harmful, every part of my body, the hair on them, went on edge, standing up and taking a defensive stance. I carefully dropped my fork, our eyes boring into each other’s, “yes, is there a problem?”“Nope.” She laughed out, her gaze
Audrey’s Pov.My eyes fluttered open gently, feeling all sore and tired. I swallowed deeply, closing my eyes and reopening it to stretch on the bed. A yawn escaped my lips as i stood up, stretching out again before sitting still on the bed. Everything came running down in my brain again, how he walked in, his words, his eyes, everything that happened before I cried myself in Alaric’s arms and slept off.“Stop!” I yelled out, closing my eyes, and using my hand to block it as the light came on.“You’re finally awake, Princess. I thought you’ve already turned sleeping beauty.” His voice softly said.I opened my eyes again, slowly and trying to balance it with the light. My eyes went to him and met his immediately. He passed me a small smile, looking at me with nothing but pity and a softness I did not like. “How long have you been sitting there?” I asked, stifling a yawn from my mouth.“Long enough to watch all your sleeping positions while sleeping. For a princess, you need to honestly
Alaric’s PovThe more she cried, the angrier and dirtier the thoughts of what I would do to Asher. It took a lot of patting and soft words before she closed her eyes and fell asleep on my chest, and even her puffy eyes made my wolf growl. I gently laid her on the bed, covering her up with the duvet and placing a soft kiss on her forehead before exiting the room as quietly as I could. And as I closed the wooden door slowly, all my nerves and muscles started to boil.I had no idea what Asher was trying to play at, bringing a fucking female to the house like that, his tongue all coiled up when he was supposed to talk, and acting as if he was sorry by putting on those stupid pitying eyes of his. He has made her cry. Not just a drop. But it's a huge one. And he didn’t even chase back after her. He did not move an inch, and the stupid blonde haired beside him.I barged into where I knew he was going to be, sighting the fucking head guard and signaling him to leave. My wolf growled out hig
Audrey’s PovThe whole world came to a halt immediately after those words left her mouth, catching everyone in the room by surprise apart from Asher, who just stood there, his arms folded to his chest and looking everywhere in the room apart from the people.“Girlfriend? Wha.. what do you mean, girlfriend?” I chuckled, taking a step closer to me.I don’t know what she must have heard, or maybe she was just one of those ladies who seemed to look down at people at every chance they got, but her eyes sized me up that instant, with nothing but disgust, disdain, and like an opponent looking at her other unworthy opponent.“Asher, won’t you say anything?” She took her eyes off me, retracing her steps to Asher’s.“Yes, Asher. What the fuck is going on?” Alaric cursed.Asher’s eyes finally settled on her, and for a split moment, there was emptiness in them. His lips parted at her for a minute, hanging there and waiting for the words to come out, only for them to fall close again. Lines grazed
Audrey’s Pov.“Fuck!” I yelled, slamming the book shut and throwing it across the room. I stood up from the bed, my feet moving swiftly to the mirror as I stared at my tired and irritated face. I folded my hands underneath my breast, taking in my full expression. It was just mid-afternoon, and it looked like the longest day of my life. After breakfast, I returned to this room with the butterflies and suspicions embedded in my stomach. While Asher had already been lovely to me throughout breakfast, there had been a pit of warning in my stomach with the way Alaric stood up and disappeared when it was obvious that he had been waiting for me to get to the table. And when I asked Asher, he replied, “He’s just throwing a fit of jealousy. Do not mind him.”Even though he had said those words to me last night, and they had annoyed me madly, a part of me still did not like the angry Alaric.“Well, flirty Alaric is more fun.” My wolf chided.I growled under my breath, pulling my black hair to
