Chapter seven
Kennedy
It's been a week since I killed six members of Samantha's clan for trying to attack her. It's also been as long since I found out I was pregnant with twins. Things have been calm since then and I can tell Samantha is grateful for that and honestly, so am I.
Tonight I will go through the ceremony to officially become part of the clan. I was hanging with some of the girls while Samantha helped prepare her the ceremony. She's been comfortable leaving me with members once everyone accepted me. I don't blame her for wanting to make sure I'm safe.
We were sitting in the entertainment room, watching a movie and I wanted something to snack on. I got up to head for the kitchen and my head started to spin. I sway with a hand on my forehead and Maria stood up to steady my balance.
"Are you feeling okay? When was the last you ate," she asks with concern.
"Sam," I say in a wavering whisper and pass out in Maria's arms.

Samantha I know I normally stay with her while she's sleeping, but I want to go with the others back to their community. I want to go find her family home and bring something back of her parents. Kennedy Five weeks have passing the blink of an eye. I started my second trimester last week and at thirteen weeks pregnant, my stomach was starting to form a little bump. Samantha can't keep her hands off my stomach and smiles every time she looks at my growing belly. Thankfully the nausea has long passed and I don't need to constantly drink the ginger tea. My appetite has nearly doubled since the beginning of my pregnancy and Samantha is relieved. Kelly kisses my stomach before bed and every morning. Kennedy I woke up fuzzy headed and groan with a hand on my forehead. I could feel Samantha behind me and she lets out a relieved breath. She caresses my stomach and I feel tears at my back. "You've been out for two days," she chokes in a whisper. "After you collapsed, I killed the council. They knew it would happen and didn't say anything. I lost it." Kennedy I woke up, snuggled between Sam and Kelly. I feel a kiss on my shoulder and look behind me at Sam. I let out a content sigh and snuggle closer to her. "Where are they," I ask in a growling whisper. "They're being held in the dungeon," she says in a soothing whisper. "Are you feeling okay? This is the second time you fainted in three days." I smile at the rose and could smell her faint scent of vanilla and lavender, but I could also smell a faint scent of sandalwood mixed with it. I let the warm water run over my growing belly, calming their aggressive kicking. Sandalwood floods the shower and feel as Skylar wraps at my back.
