21. Wrong place, right time

Mia:

“You okay?” Sam asked, placing his free hand on my leg and squeezing softly , in an attempt to try to take away the nerves threatening to choke me but instead, they revved up. He stared into my my eyes for a while before returning his attention to the road, driving with one hand on the steering wheel while the other one remained on my leg.

We were on our way to the therapist’s office and I just couldn’t stop my heart from beating widely against my chests. I’d had nightmares last night but this time, not of the wolves threatening to devour me, but of the man I’d seen at the diner, whose face I couldn’t place. But for some reason, the sight hunted me in my dreams, without a face.  This had further convinced me to see a therapist, yet, I was skeptical of the outcome.
