29. Not dead

Giovanni:

“Good morning, Sir,” Alice, my secretary, greeted me cheerfully, as I walked past her, towards my office.

“Morning, Alice, and don’t worry about my morning coffee,” I informed her before stepping into my office, closing the door behind me.

I’d dropped Mia off at her work place and stayed to take a cup of coffee before leaving. For the duration of the time I stayed, I had her seat with me, paying her boss for it. I didn’t like the fact that she was working, but the woman was a stubborn one and wouldn’t listen to me. If it was up to me, I’d take her everywhere I went. I had no problem flaunting what was mine.
