Sirella’s pov

Keiran isn’t himself.

I see it in the way he stands—rigid, tense, as if his own skin is too tight. His usual easy arrogance is gone. No smirks, no sharp remarks. Just silence.

And Keiran is never silent.

He sits across from me in the candlelit room, his gaze fixed on the floor. His knuckles are white where his hands rest on his knees.

Something is wrong.

I lean back in my chair, studying him. “Whatever it is, just say it.”

His jaw tics. He doesn’t look at me.

Then, finally, he exhales. “Salvatore gave me orders.” His voice is flat. Careful.

A chill runs down my spine. “And?”

His fingers twitch like he wants to clench them into fists. “And they don’t make sense.”

I watch him closely. He’s never questioned Salvatore before. Not once. Not in all the time I’ve known him. Keiran follows orders without hesitation. Without emotion.

But now? Now he looks like a man standing at the edge of something he’s not sure he’s ready to face.

“What did he say?” I p

Sirella’s povThe night was quiet. The moon was high. My hands held the reins of the horse tightly. I rode beside Kieran. We both were silent, focused. We were ready.“Are you ready for this?” Kieran asked me as he looked at me.I nodded slowly. “Yes. I will kill him myself.”Kieran looked ahead. “Good. We ride in first. The others will follow. We catch him off guard.”The pack behind us moved like shadows. Quiet. Deadly. The plan was simple. Hit hard. Kill fast. No mercy. As we got close to Salvatore’s pack border, I whispered, “For my child. For my mother. For my pain.”Kieran looked at me again. “For all of it.”We crossed the border and headed straight into the heart of Salvatore’s land. The guards were not ready. We moved quickly. I shifted mid-air, claws out, my wolf form leaping at one guard. He screamed once, then silence.Kieran went ahead. He took down two with a single swipe. The rest of the fighters came in behind us.“Push forward!” Kieran shouted. “Don’t stop until we re

Kieran’s povI entered the room to see the elders seated already. They were worried about what was going on.They looked tired too.“Thank you for coming,” one of them said.“Sure, why was this meeting called? I’m here to win.”Another elder nodded slowly. “We understand. We also want to win. But Salvatore is dangerous.”I leaned forward. “I know that better than anyone. He took my child. He tried to kill me. I won’t forgive him. I won’t forget.”One elder cleared his throat. “We’ve seen what he’s done. He’s bold now. He thinks we are weak.”“We are not weak,” I said. “We’re just too slow. That’s the problem.”They looked at each other. One of them spoke again. “Do you have a plan, Kieran?”“Yes,” I said. “It’s brutal. It’s dangerous. But it will work.”The room got quiet.I pulled out a rolled paper from my jacket and opened it on the table.“This,” I said, “is the plan. I want everyone to listen and not speak until I’m done.”They nodded.I pointed at the drawing on the paper. “Salv

Sirella’s povThe guards moved fast as I watched them drag them away.Kieran stood beside me. “You did good,” he said.“I had to,” I whispered. “I couldn’t lose you too.”He looked at me with soft eyes. “You won’t,” he said. “Not as long as I breathe.”One of the guards called out. “Alpha! We found a crest!”Kieran walked over. I followed behind. The guard held up a cloth taken from inside one of the assassin’s sleeves.Kieran frowned as he saw the insignia.“Salvatore.”Of course it was him.“He sent them,” Kieran growled. “He wants to play dirty I see.”“He can’t. We caught him.”“He can’t. Not if we stay strong.”Kieran nodded. He turned to the guards again.“Take them to the cellar. Keep them alive. I’ll deal with them when the sun rises.”“Yes, Alpha.”He turned to me again and placed a hand on my shoulder. “Come,” he said. “Let me treat your wounds.”“I’m fine—”“Please.”I nodded. We then walked to the room as the guards dragged them away.Inside his room, Kieran cleaned my cut

Sirella’s povI watched him closely, how he moved. He was like a shadow – swift, sleek and silent. He explained to me how I hold a dagger, how to project it at someone, how I creep up behind another and make none of the sound.‘It makes me feel like -,’ I paused, having noticed his grin when I’d managed to retract my hand fast enough from the blade as not to slice through my skin. ‘Powerful.’He grinned. “You’re learning fast.”I prided myself on practicing those moves over and bloody over until I couldn’t fail. Kieran never screamed at me. He never teased. Kieran was kind. He put his hands on me with lightness, and when he spoke to correct, the words were always soft.“You’re not weak, Sirella,” he said over and over again. “You were simply never shown how to be strong. But I’m changing that.”I started to believe him.One night, we were walking back to the main house where we were staying and all of the people in the pack bowed to us as we walked passed. They called me “Luna” becau

Salvatore’s povThey looked at each other, surprised.“Kieran and my daughter, Sirella, are with Donovan’s people now,” I told them. “They are building an army. They want to fight me.”“Alpha,” one of the generals said, “that is not good news. Kieran is strong. He has defeated many.”“He is only one wolf,” I said coldly. “And Sirella is only my child. I made her. I can break her.”They nodded before one of them spoke up.“But we shouldn’t underestimate him. Kieran is not a normal fighter.”“I know that,” I said. “But i have something he wants. I have his son.”I nodded. “Yes. The child that Sirella gave birth to. That child belongs to me now. He will grow under me. I will make him a king.”“What is the plan, Alpha?” another general asked.I turned to the big map on the wall. I pointed to Donovan’s pack land.“We will move from the west,” I said. “We’ll block the river path and cut off their food supply.”“Yes, Alpha.”“We will send spies,” I continued. “I want to know what Kieran is p

Kieran’s pov “We should go,” I told sirella quietly when the messenger was gone. She shook her head. “But why do they want you to be alpha? Why not one of their own?”“They want someone strong. Someone who has fought Salvatore. Someone who is not afraid of him,” I told her. “They want victory. And they think I can lead them to it.”“But you want to lead them?” she questioned.I took a pause then answered, “I don’t really care about leading a pack. I just want our son back. And this might be the best way.”She carried on walking for a couple of seconds before turning around. “If you go through with this, though, people will want more from you Kieran – you’ll be going up against Salvatore sure, but then you’ll also have a pack to guard.”She smiled a little. “You always say the right things.”“It’s why you like me,” she laughed. ”But it’s better than hiding here while that monster raises our child like a weapon.”Her gaze fell to the polished floor, and she nodded. "I don't put all m
