Chap-29*Shivers*

I jumped out of bed and ran to my window, peering out, praying that I hadn't seen him around my house. There was no one out there. The air was strong, dawn arriving after a long, hectic night. For a moment, I forgot why I was in the window. Sliding the glass door open, I stepped onto the small balcony to inhale fresh air. I finally searched the road; there was no one there.

My phone rang in my hand again, and I knew it was him.

Unknown: You have been crying the whole night.

I frowned at the text. Why was he so concerned about what I had been doing the whole night? It is not like he cared or anything.

Me: Stop acting like you care.

He ignored my response and mentioned my eyes.

Unknown: Your eyes. Me: What about my eyes?

I knew they were swollen and had bags under them. I lowered my eyes and grasped the railing as my body felt a tingling sensation of being watched.

Unknown: Don’t cry.

I looked at the text, and then to the road, where my eyes searched for him. I can’t see anyone
