Chapter Twenty-Nine

Rush

When we walked in the door, Stella and Landon were in the middle of an argument.

“I know you fucked her. I know it!” Stella screams.

“We have been over this before Stella, nothing has ever happened between Mazy and me. She’s my family and that’s all it is.” Landon at least sounds calm.

“You expect me to believe that!” she screeches. “I see the way you look at her.”

Maze looks up at me red as a balloon with embarrassment, “You know it’s not true. Right?”

“Babe, I would know if you had romantic feelings for another. We’ve wolves remember.” I hold her tight against me. “You knew when I was with other women.” I feel her nod against my chest. “Maze, I will always regret what I did to you, to us.”

Her light blue eyes find mine. “We both have regrets, ones that no longer matter. Not now. Not when-”

“THERE IS NOTHING GOING ON!” Landon bellows cutting Maze off mid-sentence, we both run into the house, Landon is pacing the room pulling at his hair, and Stella looks like she’s ready
