She had burst into a full volume of wails, at this. And the other kids laughed and pointed fingers at her. Because the food was right on the floor, in front of her. Even the teacher just soothed her, told a cleaner to cone clean the dirt, and left her.
Meanwhile Beth was having an empty stomach, with the worms doing a battle, making growling sounds.
She didn't even want to go meet her Uncle Tunde, because she knew he would eat his own food as well. So she didn't want to be a bother, and decided to stay on her seat. Feeling really sad about the food she just lost. She could recall when she had anticipate eating the meal, right from
Writer's POV What next Pete did surprised Beth, because he stretched forth his hand to her hair, and she shifted backwards before he could. Then gave him a questioning look. "I uh, was just trying to take dirt off your hair." He said, then blew out a big breath of frustration. It seemed he was already getting fed up with her attitude towards him, but was still staying because maybe, just maybe he meant every word. She thought. "I'm sorry, I don't like someone touching my hair." Beth said, and he knew she was lying. However, she asked him to still take the dirt off her hair. And watched him cautiously as began doing as she had instructed. He raised his hand up and then touched her hair at first. Something which sent shivers down her spine, and generated goosebumps on her every single pore. She took a hard dry gulp to be calm, because it seem like h
Writer's POV Beth, due to the heartache she was still carrying, decided to follow her paternal grandmother to London for a few months. Her paternal grandma Patricia who still had the body of a young lady, despite being fifty-nine, was a retired model, who owned a modelling agency in London. The woman resided both in London and in Nigeria. So the time she announced that she wanted to leave for London in a few weeks, Beth told her she wanted to tag along with her. Meanwhile, Octavia, Beth's mom didn't go well with the idea, because she was nursing an infant, was busy with work at the hospital, and had two other kids to take care of. Thankfully, Eliakim, Bethany's dad was around. So he told his wife not to worry, that he would hire someone, for the time Beth was away. Because he knew that Beth needed a breath of fresh air. He was fully aware that his first child was still very heartbroken. After the talks and all, Beth was finally allowed to go to London with her Grandm
Writer's POVA tiny smile titled at the corners of his mouth, when his eyes did a once over on her. Something which made her feel hot in the inside. She quickly stared at her feet, so he couldn't see that just a look from him, was affecting her. And she knew she would have labeled someone else a pervert, if he had looked at her, the way this white boy had looked at her.But she couldn't. Infact she was even enjoying his company. Even though he had suddenly turned a mute."Is there a problem?" Beth inquired, raising her head to look at him as she folded her arms across her chest. Watching him with caution. While he was still holding the umbrella.Somehow, he looked like the protective bodyguard. Her body guard, and she could see the girl who had been trying to flirt with him earlier on, shooting her daggers with her eyes, from the transparent doors of the restaurant. She bit back a snicker, suddenly remembering how the boy had taken the
Writer's POVFor two weeks, Beth didn't see Christian. Even when she went to his apartment to check if he was around, it was just his friend she had seen. She began missing his presence whenever she went to that particular restaurant, and and he wasn't there. She began wondering if it was because of what had transpired between them on that night, that he had refused coming to the restaurant. The way he had bade her goodnight and left, had seem somewhat final. That he would stop being her friend, and leave her alone. But she hadn't taken it serious. She thought she was going to see him again the next day.But when she didn't see him the whole of that week, she began wondering if he had made the decision to stop coming around. And when she didn't see him at the restaurant either, she didn't want to think he had stopped coming there as well. It felt so unusual with him absent on there. But why would he stop? Or was it because of her he
Writer's POV Beth snapped her eyes back to Christian's, just in time to catch his eyes. Eyes that had been on her all those while she had been lost in her thoughts. He had watched her in silence, and she wanted to know what was going on in his mind as well. But he wasn't staring at her like he wanted to sleep with her. He was looking at her with care. Like she was someone who had a special place in his heart. She saw his hand moving, and then he placed it untop hers. She wondered why he did that. Because he was beginning to make her things she didn't want to feel. Things only Pete made her feel. But this time, Christian's was different, and she was afraid it was stronger as well. Beth gave him a curious look, wordlessly asking him what he was up to. But Christian chose to remain silent, and then caressed her hand. Making her feeling the heat that was radiating from his warm big paw.
Writer's POV Christian pulled her into the house, and and they made out badly, with Christian tearing Beth's clothes off her body. That was the first day they had sex. The two were so hunger for each other, that they had sex straight for four hours, and stopped when they both felt sore. After that, they clasped their sweaty nude bodies together like sardines in a can, before maintaining eye contact. Christian gave Beth that huge boyish beautiful grin that she liked so much, with excitement masked up in his eyes. He was so happy that they finally did it together. And that was the day Beth realized that she was inlove with Christian. That she had been inlove with Beth all those while, and had no idea. She's drew tiny holes on his chest, then smiled at him. Admiring his handsome facial features, with the words 'I love you' at the tip of her tongue. But she chose not to let him know. Because she knew he wouldn't be pleased to hear that, so she kep
Writer's POV"Hey, earth to stranger. You're acting all weird." Beth snapped her fingers in front of him. And this pulled him out of his thoughts."I know right." He said, uselessly. Then held the umbrella with his left hand, before stretching his right hand for a shake. "My name is Christian." It seemed like he had finally gained control again. Because he had been quite of a dummy."Beth." She replied, declining the offer of putting her hand in his big paw, which had been warm when he had touched her earlier. There was no way she would let him hold her again. Him staring at her alone was too much for her. And she wondered what was going on. She had not been affected by a white boy before. Not even the ones who were more handsome than him. She was into Nigerian guys. Dated only Pete"Bethany, you're African American right?" He asked, allowing his hand to fall to his
Writer's POVAnd so the day came, and Christian was singing on his usual spot on that faithful day.Beth was sitted on the chair, admiring him as he sang. As usual, he was looking really good in his crazy blue jeans, and grey sweatshirt. He had his hair packed up in a bun, and was looking so happy and carefree that Beth felt her eyes stinging with tears. She was not going to see him again, and even if they would see, it would be a long time from now. They still had so much ahead of them. And were still very young. And maybe if they see again, they would already have people in their lives.Beth tucked her hair behind her ear, then hugged herself, from the sudden cold she was feeling that was making her to shiver. She was still contemplating deeply on how to tell Christian that she was leaving by the next day. She didn't know how he would take it. How he would feel if she told him. It hurt so much to even think about hurting him.
