Louisa's POV

Fuck.

Darren heard what I had said.

What was on my mind?! Referring to him as my husband?!

The situation couldn't be more awkward.

"Did you have a good flight?" Darren asked as he sat next to me. "The doctor asked me to give you these pills..."

I couldn't think of anything else to say, so I took the glass of water and started gobbling down the pills.

"Slowly, Miss Torrington. That's a lot of pills," Darren said as he unbuckled me.

Then, he placed his hand over my belly.

"How does it feel?" he asked.

"What? Being pregnant or waking up in Germany?" I took another sip of water and said.

Darren chuckled and said, "You've got a great sense of humor, Miss Torrington."

The tension between us was relieved.

"I have always wondered what it was like to be pregnant," he said while gently stroking my belly.

"Have you made any women pregnant?" I asked.
