BLAIR’S POV

Heir?

What’s happening?

Who is becoming an heir?

My lashes parted slowly, followed by a sharp pain in my head.

Grandpa George is sitting right in front of me but he is looking at the door.

I can see six people leaving the room, however, my vision is so blurry that I can’t see them well nor tell who they are.

“Grandpa, forget them, they are only jealous.”

I follow the voice and see Raymond standing behind Grandpa George.

Raymond is here too, and I am so relieved.

But what really happened?

Why do I feel so much pain now?

“Ouch!”

I can’t even lift a limb.

“Blair, are you alright?”

Raymond comes to my side, holding my hand.

“Blair, can you see me?”

Grandpa George waves his fingers, but I can’t even see them clearly.

“Go get the doctor.”

I try closing back my eyes, but the sharp pain can’t let me.

With my eyes half open and half closed, I watch Raymond hurry out of the room to go get the doctor as Grandpa George ordered.

These people are so caring. How I wish it wi

After Raymond left again, I grabbed my phone from the bed stand and clicked Cassie’s name in my contact. I can’t call her, she might be with Raymond at this moment. I’ll send her a message and see if she’ll come over or text back. ‘Hey girl, guess who’s going to continue being Raymond’s wife for 2 years?’I snap the papers he brought earlier which I’ve already signed, attach them to the text, and send it to her. Cassie will freak out and who knows, she might pass out. How I wish I could see how the message would scare the witch. Ha ha ha. Anyway, I care less. Now let’s move on to the next step. Arriving at our maternal grandfather's mansion, I had to change my expression from desperation to a sad one.I am so soaked in the rain right now, and I feel so cold. But all this is to win my grandfather's heart. He'll see that among the only two grandchildren he has, I am the only one that cares for him. And that means he'll choose me to run the company after his death. Thank Goodness he doesn't have a favorite grandchild among us. And even if he has, then it will be me. “Miss Cassie?"One of the maids ran over with an umbrella, but I pushed her out of my way. “I don't need it. Where is Grandpa?"She looks so surprised, but I don't care. My main aim here is to see Grandpa, not be attended to by any maid. “And don't you ever touch me with your ugly fingers. Look at them!"I hissed at her and then entered the mansion. Grandpa is sitting in his wheelchair in the sitting room, taking his medication. Wait a minute… Didn't the caller say the man was dying?I expect to see him

Grandpa asked, looking at me suspiciously. What would I say?I am just a fool. I wanted to go after her, to bring her back two days after she left, but Cassie kept telling me to leave Blair alone. She said Blair was just upset and she would come back by herself And yes, I believed what she said and ignored Blair even though I knew where she was Alicia told me so. "I am listening.” Oh, yes. "I thought giving her some time to reflect on herself would be better.”"And you think she will return to this house by herself?” I nodded my head and he laughed. It has been almost two weeks since I moved out of Raymond's house and I can say it was the best decision I made so far. I now have peace of mind, doing things I love, and eating the things I like. Back at Raymond's, I was only allowed to take certain foods because I was pregnant. But here, I eat what I crave all the time.If I knew my life outside Reece's mansion would be this great, I would have left for a very long time now. But no, I couldn't leave because of a man. Funny.I haven't stepped out of the mansion ever since I arrived, I am always inside the house, walking around, sleeping, eating, and playing games with my P. A and some other maids. They are all lovely, running to my every call, and keeping me company all the time. But I am being careful not to allow anyone so close to my life as I did with Alicia. I don't want another heartbreak anymore. Alicia has taught me a great lesson, never to trust anyone again. Since I moved in here, the P. A had wanted me to tell him

Was that what she was telling him inside the car? He doesn't even care that Cassie was talking to me that way.Raymond opened the door for Cassie and she entered the car, giving me a mocking look. Then he proceeded to the driver's side and sped off from there, leaving me in the street. I was frozen, shocked that Raymond could do that to me. “Ma'am?"I took in a deep breath and then returned to the car. Raymond doesn't care about my feelings anymore. He thinks everything is happening because of me. He now believes I have another guy in my life who is not him.I can't take it any longer. If he won't listen to me now, who knows what will happen in the future? He can come get his child in the future, but for now, I'd rather leave him than see him with Cassie every day. “Give me my phone." Alicia reached for the phone inside the bag and handed it over to me. I dialed my P. A number, put it on speaker and placed the phone on my thigh while holding the steering wheel with both of m

“Ma'am?"Alicia called again with a shaky voice. I ignored her, thinking she was going to ask another question or say something that Cassie was hiding things from me. I am done talking about Cassie; I just want to focus on one thing: how to make Raymond understand the person who sent the gift is trying to ruin our relationship. “Ma'am?"Alicia called again, this time, she tapped my arm. I turned to her direction, trying not to get angry at her. “Look over there." She pointed to our right, where other cars were parked, too, because of traffic. What could she have seen that'll make her that scared? I followed her finger, and there, inside a black jeep, was Raymond. He wasn't alone in the car, someone was there with him. That person can't be a guy, Raymond is doing the driving by himself. So he left the house?I didn't even know that. I thought he was in his study room or rather, Grandpa George's apartment. Cassie has a hand in this." “What are you going to do now, ma'am?"“I'll go meet her."I picked up my phone and dialed Cassie's number. I'm not even scared of her anymore. I don't care if she'll do anything to me out there or not, all I want from her is the truth. She must confess to doing this and I'll record her voice. I know Cassie won't deny if she was the one that sent it over, she always says whatever she does to me to my face. “Where are you?" I asked her, gesturing to Alicia to pick up the basket. “What's the big surprise, sis?"I hate her annoying voice. “Just tell me where you are and I'll be there."“Wow! Did they even kiss? When was it?These days? The kiss was today? What!Didn't she tell me she went to see the doctor? Is Blair trying to play with my mind because she now knows I love her too?“How could you, Blair?" She stepped closer, looking so confused. “How could what, Ray? I have no idea what you are talking about."
