The white beast overpowered the brown one. The gap in their strength was too obvious not to be noticed. However, the brown wolf faced the stronger one head-on despite its injured leg. It was not fighting back neither tried to escape. It was just there, standing still while getting intimidated by the larger beast.

Layla wandered her eyes around to find anything that could help her with her current situation. Her master’s true form still fazed her shivering body. She had an idea that her predator could be him, like why would he bring her to his place after almost getting devoured by the wolf she met in the middle of the forest? It was him all along, and she was waiting for him to confess his true identity, and yet he actually shifted in front of her.
