Tale 3: Talk

“Huh?” Rai said, feeling puzzled as he sat up from his bed. “What the hell are you – “ he said and stopped, shocked, when he heard that his voice was different again. He held his throat and looked at his chest. It’s bulging again. “What – “ he said as his face turned dark. He turned into a girl again!

“Who are you?!” Rai’s brother asked as he glared at him. “Where is my younger brother?! How dare he bring a woman in the house – “ he said as he gnashed his teeth in anger.

“Wait, brother!” Rai called and grabbed his elder brother’s arm.

His elder brother’s eyes narrowed and he clicked his tongue as he whisked away Rai’s hands. “Don’t you dare touch me.” he told him, looking very furious. “You may be beautiful, but get the hell off my dear little brother’s bed.” He told Rai while glaring at him. “The only one that has the right to lay down his bed is him – “ he said. “ – and me, his beloved elder brother – “ he told him as he gritted his teeth in fury.

A vein popped in Rai’s forehead and he clicked his tongue in annoyance. “Saying words like that, I guess that you already know that it is me, your little brother that you are doting on always.” he told him as he looked at him with a blank face.

Suddenly, his elder brother’s face broke into a grin. “Rai!” he called and jumped at him. “I knew that you would be beautiful if you were a girl!” he said and hugged Rai tightly.

“Ah. So you regret that I became a boy?” Rai asked him as his eyes narrowed dangerously.

“No! never!” His elder brother said and shook his head as he looked at Rai with an extremely serious expression. He grabbed Rai’s shoulders. “That’s why you should remove your guise this instant, even though you are beautiful – “ he told him.

Rai’s eyes twitched. So, his elder brother is actually thinking that he is…? he wanted to place a palm on his face. “That’s impossible.” he told him.

“Why?” his elder brother asked.

Rai frowned. “Since I was cursed.” He told him.

Flashback end

Damn that elder brother of mine… he really thought that I cross-dress! Rai thought and sighed as he looked at the building where the gymnasium is inside. Why would he think that I would cross-dress?! He thought and blew out air as he walked inside together with the other students. Anyway, as to why I am not freaking out, unlike what I did last night… It is because I met with the goddess again.

Flashback

“Haaa…” Rai breathed a sigh of relief when his elder brother finally left. He took his towel and walked towards the bathroom. It is already six in the morning, and he will be late for school if he won’t move his ass right now to prepare to go to school. But just thinking about school makes him feel irritated. Who would want to wake up so early in the morning just to torture yourself by reading books?!

Rai blew out the air. “Just why is this happening to me?” he muttered as he opened the door of the bathroom.

“I already told you. It’s a curse – “ a voice spoke.

“Yes, yes. Whatever – “ Rai said, then suddenly stopped when he realized something. His eyes went wide when he turned and saw the goddess sitting on his bed. “What – “ he said, wide–eyed in shock. Then, his eyes narrowed and he marched towards her. “You!” he said as he pointed at her while glaring at her. “Just when I thought I was finally back to my body, you go and turned me back to a girl – “ he said.

“Oh? Did you see me transforming you back into a girl?” she asked.

Rai’s mouth fell open, feeling speechless at this woman’s shamelessness!

“You didn’t (see me), right?” she asked and smiled. “It is a part of the curse.” She said.

Rai looked at her, thinking how he could fry her or steam her, or filet her for breakfast.

She just smiled, ignoring Rai’s murderous gaze. “I am here since I forgot to tell you something.” She explained.

“Oh….?” Rai said, a vein popping in his forehead. “A goddess forgetting something?” he asked, pissed.

She shrugged. “Well, it is not as if it is only your curse that I am thinking of, okay?” she said, then smiled when he glared at her. “Anyways, as what you have experienced – “ she said and intentionally paused.

A vein popped on his head, feeling more and more pissed. she deliberately didn’t tell me ‘this something’! he thought, irritated. “So? What is it that you ‘forgot’ to tell me?” he asked, gritting his teeth in anger.

She chuckled. “As you have noticed, you turned back as a guy when it was midnight.” She answered.

Huh? Rai thought and blinked. So that explained why I suddenly turned to a guy that time… he thought and frowned when he remembered what happened earlier in the night. Then, that accidental kiss… was it when I was still a girl, or – he thought, then shivered just thinking that he kissed a guy when he is a guy in both mind and body. Geez. I will just leave it when I am still in the body of a girl – he decided.

“Are you still listening?” she asked.

“Huh? Oh. Yeah. Mm.” Rai answered, obviously looking distracted. He grimaced.

She sighed. “Anyways, by dawn – “ she said and looked at him. “ – you will turn back to being a girl again.” She said.

Rai grimaced. “Yeah. So great.” he said, sarcastically.

She stared at him.

“What?” he asked.

“You…” she said, her face serious. “You are surprisingly calm now…” she said.

“Well – “ Rai said and grinned. “ – It is not like I can resist more since I am already cursed. So, instead of yelling and cursing you back – “ he said and put the towel on his shoulder. “ – might as well enjoy this, right?” he told her and winked. He then saw her cheeks flush red. “Oh? What’s this?” he said and walked towards her while grinning. “You fell for me now?” he asked as he leaned to her. “Then, remove my curse – “ he told her.

“With that attitude, you will never make a guy fall for you.” She told him. Her face is serious.

Rai looked at her and frowned.

“Thus, you will never break the curse.” She said as she held his hand and pushed it away from her face with a cold gaze.  

Rai sighed at his seduction that failed. I almost forgot that I am still in the body of a girl. He thought and stood straight. “I already told you.” He said. His face is serious. “I don’t regret what I have done, thus – “ he said and grinned, tilting his head. “ – I don’t regret having this curse, too.” he told her and walked away.

“I already told you, too – “ she said and looked at him. “ – you are cool and all, but you are inside the body of a girl.” She told him.

Rai stopped.

“All the more – “ she looked at the door. “ – you are going to the bathroom. That makes you not so cool at all.” She told him.

Rai felt his face go red, both in embarrassment and anger. “Shut up!” he snapped and turned back. But, she’s already gone. “Curse you, goddess.” He muttered and clicked his tongue.

He then went inside the bathroom and took a bath.
