Chapter 12.1: Not old, but evolved

Saying that, after those four words appeared in his head Jake fell in a daze, it would be an understatement. He was so lost that by the time he snapped out of it, he was already in his room, with a paintbrush in his hand and a half-finished painting right in front of him.

This isn't scientific at all, alright!!!

He couldn't quite remember how he left Ryder's house or how he came back home, even less how the fuck did he end up painting Ryder. What's this melodramatic setting? This has never happened to him before? Is he so fucked up in the head?

It was already early in the morning, the sun was out and the room didn't need the lights to be on anymore.

Just for how long did his brain shut down?

Once he wasn't in a daze anymore, his IQ went back online. The hand that was holding the paintbrush released and the dirty brush fell on the carpet, splattering paint everywhere. His hands started shaking as he stepped back from the small almost finished
