Kimberly felt goosebumps all over her body as she drove into the Naval Base. She was really nervous about seeing Ian after such a long time. She couldn’t help but wonder if he has lost weight, she prays he’s well and okay.
After spending twenty minutes looking for a spot to park her car in an already full parking lot, Kimberly luckily found a spot and parked her car.
Coming out of her car, Kimberly couldn’t help but stare at the families who had already reunited and we’re heading back home.
She could see the genuine happiness radiating from the soldiers and their loved ones. She sight brought tears to her eyes. She quickly tore her eyes away from the scene, wiping a stray tear from her face. She locked the door to her car and headed for the harbor where the ship was, as she didn’t want to keep her fiancé waiting.
On getting to the harbor, Kimberly squeezed her way through the nervous, anxious, impatient and overjoyed crowd, murmuring her apologies as she tried to get to the front.
She got to the front and eagerly waited like the rest of the crowd as the soldiers came out of the large ship one after another, her eyes not leaving the ship.
She was already getting impatient as she was getting cranky from not yet getting some sleep, then she noticed a six feet two inches guy, looking more muscular than the last time. He was breathtaking in his Naval uniform.
Kimberly watched as his eyes searched for something or rather someone who she’s a hundred percent certain was her. She couldn’t help but smile at that, knowing he was eager to see her as she was to see him.
As if on cue, his eyes found hers, making her heart skip a bit. It was like the whole world stopped as she stared at the love of her life, the man whose absence gave her sleepless nights.
They do Skype, but it’s nothing compared to him being with her in person.
This is the man she fell in love with three years ago, whose voice intoxicated her, whose touch made her dizzy with pleasure, who is now staring at her with a broad smile plastered on his face.
Kimberly let her heart take the lead, as she ran to meet him, excitedly jumping on him, causing him to almost lose his balance.
He immediately captured her lips with his, wrapping his arms around her waist as they shared a passionate kiss.
She had missed the taste of his tongue on hers and the warmth his presence brought.
She cupped his cheeks in her hands as they kissed, to feel him more because she was still finding it hard to believe that he was here with her, holding her securely in his arms.
They finally parted from the kiss after what felt like forever. Both breathing heavily as they gazed into each other’s eyes.
Gosh! Has she missed those beautiful blue eyes that stole her heart.
“I've missed you so bad.” He whispered, capturing her lips in a kiss once again.
“I missed you too.” Kimberly replied after the kiss, hugging him tightly as she straddled him.
She reluctantly ended their embrace and unwrapped her legs from his torso to her displeasure.
‘'Kimberly, you have to be considerate and understand that he must be really tired and would need to rest.’ She mentally cautioned herself.
Ian took off his uniform cap and placed it on Kimberly’s head, earning a grin from her.
She always loved wearing his cap each time he returned, it made her feel like she was the one in the military.
“Let’s go home.” She then said as she helped him roll his suitcase and they both walked to the parking lot with their hands entwined.
“Your hair, it has grown a lot longer.” Ian said as they walked to the car.
Kimberly only nodded in reply as she was still ecstatic about having him beside her.
“I love it.” He complimented, making Kimberly smile.
“Thanks.” She replied, internally glad that she had been too occupied and couldn’t go get her hair trimmed, as it now reached her lower back.
They walked to the car in a comfortable silence. Kimberly unlocked the trunk of the car so Ian could put his suitcase in before he got into the car.
“Here, I got it for you on my way here.” Kimberly said, handing him a package.
Ian had a wide grin on his face as he opened it.
“Did I mention how much I love you.” He asked, giving her a kiss on the cheek, making her roll her eyes.
“I know, right?” She replied, noticing that he had already started munching on the ham burger, fries and fried chicken she got for him.
They both shared their experiences and events that happened during each other’s absence, as Kimberly drove them to Ian’s house.
“Home sweet home!” Ian breathed as Kimberly parked in the driveway after gulping down the rest of his coke.He got out of the car, taking in his surrounding once again after being away for so long.Kimberly climbed out of the car and was about going to the trunk to get Ian’s suitcase when she noticed his outstretched arms. He was standing in front of the car, waiting patiently for her. She furrowed her eyebrows in confusion.“What about your suitcase?” she asked, not entirely sure if he wanted her to take his hand at the moment.“We can get that later.” he replied with a wide smile.Kimberly couldn’t help but smile back, his smile was contagious. She quickly interlaced their fingers as they walked to the porch. She unlocked the door and they went in.“I had the whole plac
Kimberly stared at her lover as he was fast asleep. He looked so peaceful and handsome. Her eyes lingered on his slightly parted lips, she felt the urge to kiss him, but refrained herself because she didn’t want to wake him up as he must probably be tired after the long journey. She carefully removed his hand from her waist and quietly got out of bed, making sure not to cause any noise. She got into the closet and picked out another underwear, since Ian ripped the one she was previously wearing. Smiling at the memory, she took one of Ian’s t-shirt and wore it, then wrapped her hair up in messy bun before quietly walking out of the room.Kimberly walked into the kitchen and sat on an island stool, thinking of what to make for lunch. She knew she needed to think fast because Ian wasn’t an heavy sleeper, so he’d soon be up.After some minutes of thinking and going through a cookery book
Kimberly couldn’t help but laugh at Ian who was repeatedly grumbling about the welcome party his mom mentioned earlier.“Babe, please finish your meal.” she said stiffling a laugh.“You don’t understand. I told her that a party wasn’t necessary since I'll be leaving soon.” he replied with a frown.“It’s okay, babe.”“It’s not okay! She never listens to me!” he yelled making Kimberly flinch.Ian noticed her reaction and felt bad for frightening her with his unnecessary anger.“Baby I'm sorry. I didn’t mean to scare you.” he apologized, taking her hand in his, placing light kisses on her knuckles.“I understand.” she quietly replied, stabbing her food with her fork, suddenly losing her appetite.
After breakfast, Kimberly went out to get some groceries while Ian remained at home. On her way to the supermarket, she couldn’t help but think back to their love making earlier that morning.Ian was a totally different person in bed that morning, one she couldn’t recognize. It was like she awoke some kind of beast in him. The bite marks all over her body were proof of his actions which she doesn’t want to look at for the time being. She got what she asked for.The sex was amazing, she could still feel the effect on her lower region. She had to be honest with herself, she didn’t like that Ian. She’s satisfied with the gentle and passionate Ian she fell in love with. But she couldn’t help feeling kind of proud and moved when she saw the look of content on Ian’s face as he devoured her.Maybe, she would let him have his way once in a while, that would help spic
Kimberly cried her eyes out in the kitchen. She couldn’t tell how long she had stayed there because she didn’t want to face an angry Ian. After what felt like hours, she left the kitchen, walked passed the living room and went upstairs to the bedroom. When she got into the bedroom, did she realize that Ian wasn’t home. How did she not notice when he drove out? She guess she must’ve been too engrossed in her thoughts and tears to notice anything. With that conclusion, she peeled off her clothes which was currently soaked in tears and sweat and went into the bathroom because she desperately needed a warm bath. While running the bath, she wrapped her hair in a messy bun and wiped off her makeup before getting into the bathtub. For the first time in forty eight hours, Kimberly hated the fact that she took a leave of absence. If she hadn’t taken that leave, she would’ve gone to the hospital to take care of some
Kimberly took gentle steps as she climbed down the stairs because she was a little nervous, wondering if Ian was mad at her for forgetting about the party. She saw Ian typing away in his phone, as the living room came into view. She stood at the end of the staircase and let out a heavy sigh before speaking up to make her presence known.“I’m ready.” She said, earning Ian’s attention.Kimberly noticed the way Ian stared at her for a few seconds before composing himself. He had a look of admiration in his eyes, but quickly shook it off because of his stupid pride.Kimberly hated the fact that Ian let’s his pride get the best of him. She didn’t care anymore if he was going to compliment her or not, she just wanted them to get everything over and done with, so she could come back home and get some rest because today has been one heck of a dra
Kimberly stared at Mr. Gareth with confusion written all over her face. How did he notice? Was it that obvious?“If you don’t feel comfortable talking here, we can go outside.” he suggested, making Kimberly realize that she can’t find her way out of this one, because Mr. Gareth wasn’t willing to drop the subject.Although, Kimberly is open with both of Ian’s parents, she doesn’t know how Ian would react if he found out she told his dad about their fight, but she desperately needed someone to talk to at the moment, so she nodded in agreement and they left the party.Kimberly and Mr. Gareth walked out of the house through the back door and arrived at the pool area. She felt herself relax as she was now in the fresh air, away from the crowd. It made her feel as if she had nothing to worry about, which was far from the truth but she couldn’t help it, she al
The ride home was equally quiet, making Kimberly’s thoughts drift back to her conversation with Mr. Gareth. She could tell, he still felt guilty and remorseful for his past choices. She feels very sorry for him because the hands of time can’t be turned back to change one’s decisions made in the past, so one has to make the most of every opportunity that presents itself in the present. With that final thought, Kimberly knew what her decision was. She took a glance at Ian, whose full concentration was on the road. His facial features looked stressed, which made him look a little older than he was.She couldn’t blame him for looking exhausted, his mom made him greet all the guests, who had many questions to ask.She turned her eyes back to her side of the window, so he doesn’t catch her staring. They finally got home. I
