Pulling up at school, Gem is practically out of the car before i have even found a spot to park in "whoa there cowgirl, what's the hurry?" She just rolls her eyes at me "there's Bianca and Stevie" I look over and sure enough there are her best friends "ok, fine ill see you later, loser!"
"Yeah right, im the loser, see you, oh I don't need a ride home so ill see you at dinner,"
"Ok catch you later," i say as she slams my door and heads off to Bianca and Stevie then i take a deep breath before i find somewhere to park.
Once parked I grab the stuff im gonna need today and head into school towards my locker "oh look it's the loser of loserville" says Shannon the most popular girl at school, everyone either wants to go out with her or be her, "oh jee look its Shannon everybody, let's give her a loud cheer too really start her day off" I say as I stomp past her to my locker where I put most of my books then grab the first one and shut my locker and head to class, leaving Shannon standing there trying to work out my insult.

Before my next class I head to the bathroom to calm myself down a bit, im not sure why but my heart feels like it's going to come out of my chest, as I was leaving the classroom all I wanted to do was run back to luke and never leave him, I swear im going insane. Once I have splashed water on my face and calmed down a bit I look at the time "great, now im late", so I rush out of the bathroom and head to maths, the class is already there when I rush in and everyone laughs but I don't care "you're late!!!" Mr Fisher snaps "sorry sir I was in the bathroom", I stumble through a quick apology before he replies "I don't care, now find your seat or its detention", so I hurry to an empty seat at the back of the class and pull out my books as Mr Fisher starts droning

I shake my head and let my hair fall across my face like a curtain to try to hide how my face has turned a deep red, my body has started sweating and im feeling nervous, I can't explain why but the only word that comes to my mind is "PREY" which makes me sweat, even more, just then i take a peek up to see if he's still watching me and I swear he takes a big sniff of the air in my direction, I could have sworn he was smelling me from across the room "haaahaa" I chuckle to myself " is there a problem Miss Jenkins?" Iv been staying with pops for 3 days now and to be quiet honest its been relaxing, pops is easy to live with, he lives alone in a small two-bedroom house overlooking the sea with deep forests behind the house, its peaceful here nobody to disturb you and pops is happy to just go about his day and leave me in peace. Mine Wake up call
Moms really pleased to see me when I turn up and pulls me into a warm hug before sitting me at the table and placing a roast dinner in front of me "here I saved this for you sweetheart" she smiles at me then says "I thought you might be hungry, Gem is at her friends before you ask so you'll have to see her later". After dinner I take a shower and get all my books prepared for the next day then I climb into bed to get an early night for school the next day.
Mine Back to school
Once we reach school and iv parked the car, Gem turns to me "are you sure you're ok?" "Yeah im fine, look Stevies waiting for you," I say pointing to the scraggly boy standing by a tree "Yeah but I can stay with you if you want?"
