The new queen sat emotionless through her parents' funeral, and again through her own coronation. She smiled and waved on cue, and she gave the speeches like she was supposed to, but she was really just stuck on autopilot. She was so consumed with guilt, and her plan to destroy her aunt, that she was completely lost to everything else in her life.

She stopped cooking like she used to, and her gardens all died. She even withdrew from her family. That's when she had her little castle built on the back of the property and she began to spend her days and nights drinking wine and conspiring against Morana.

Her sisters and her children would come and try to see her, but she was too far gone. Nobody could reach her anymore. Nobody. Her guilt and anger had all but swallowed her whole.
