Aliyah POV

After I dropped Nancy at her school, I drove to the company, and all through the drive, I was so nervous that I couldn't concentrate. As the incident from days ago kept replaying in my head, I could only clench my fingers around the steering wheel as I prayed silently that I don't end up running into him at the company, even though I knew that it was just a shitty wish that won't come true. He owns the company, which means that he could be anywhere he deemed fit to, and aside from that, he buys lunch for me literally every day, so how could I even pray not to run into him at the company when it was so obvious that he will?

"Don't think about it, Ariel. It's not that serious," I assured myself even I knew that it was really serious. More serious than I thought.
