XAVIER'S POV

The shock from the interview was still reeling in my veins. I couldn't believe it. Madame Browne set me up. She planned each and every one of the activities that went on.

I couldn't believe I allowed myself to get knocked off by their plan. I clenched my fists and frowned as I strolled into the room only to find it empty.

My brows arched in confusion as I gripped my jaw. I could've sworn she was following me just now. She was right behind me but now, she wasn't.

I wasn't sure whether to worry or feel angered by the fact my reputation was dented by that hypocritical interview. I paced out of the room and as I stared at the hallway, I expected to find her strutting towards the door but she wasn't there.

As I thought about it, my mind flashed back to the grin tugged at the corners of Lucas's face. It was obvious he had won. Just as the thought punched through my mind, I felt my veins twitch as I jammed the door close.

Hello Readers, there were some few errors on this chapter which I wasn't opportuned to edit. In the upper part, when he was referring to a lady, he meant Ella. in the last line, Xavier, meant, taking him to the office in 20 minutes. Thank you. I hope you're all enjoying the book .
