Broken Jessica

★★★

Jessica was gazing at the back of the man. She was going through a great deal of struggle. She had the best time ever with him last night, and she wanted to continue dating him.

However, she had reserved a space in her heart where she had weighed her circumstances in order to distinguish fact from fiction. She did not wish to suffer harm.

Given that they were under the influence of drugs the night before, but that they were now in reality, this man may not be as gentle as he was last night.

Jessica was only being cautious out of her desire for happiness. Darkness may morph quickly in life while light had to be lit up.

Jessica smiled and cocked her head towards the large back of the mysterious man, and gently kissed him.

She whispered, "If you come across me in this crazy world again and treat me with the same special treatment you gave me last night. I will keep you in my heart forever.” A smile appeared on her face as she said, "I want to avoid making any assumptions. I desire to obtain what God has set aside for me. Bye, handsome.”

Jessica never once made an effort to look into his face. She was satisfied because of his character, not his appearance. She, therefore wanted the beginning to be like this, where both of them could sense each other's presence despite being unfamiliar with each other's faces.

Jessica quickly changed into her clothes and left the room. She had to impart some knowledge to her sister.

After a 30-minute drive, Jessica arrived at her home. She did not care that she did not have a ladylike appearance.

Jessica yelled "Rilika" from the hallway. She was going to give that mother and daughter some lessons today so they wouldn't ever think about doing something like that again.

“You finally reveal your true self to us. Hah!! Everyone thought of you as a white flower, but rumor has it that you removed all of your petals while you were at the resort."

With her cat in her arms, Eva, her stepmother, descended the stairs.

“I don't have time to engage in meaningless conversation with you.” Jessica glared at her stepmother and yelled, "Call your vile daughter.”

“Shut up! Look inside of yourself first and see how much filth you are covered in, before calling her vile. Do not use your foul mouth to refer to my daughter,” as she yelled, Eva lowered the cat to the ground. She hadn't liked this additional member of her family since she married into this one. But because Jessica was the firstborn, she was powerless to remove her from her view.

Jessica's father entered her line of sight at that precise moment. Jessica saw him and immediately ran to her father to tell him what Rilika had done to her. Regardless of what anyone thought, she was confident that her father would support her.

“Dad! Dad!”

"SLAP!”

Jessica fell to the ground after receiving a jarring slap to the face. Her mouth bled at the corner.

“How long have you been practicing being shameless? You hurled me from the sky. Trust me, I didn't believe it until I saw you leave that resort with my own eyes," Mr. Darren Lawrence stated coldly, his bloodshot eyes filled with disgust for Jessica.

“Dad,” Jessica cried. Her eyes welled up with tears, not because of the slap, but because her father had been so cruel to her. He trusted what he was shown, but not her.

Her father completely disregarded her need after the second marriage and kept telling her to take care of her stepbrother and stepsister because they were her own. She had endured a great deal of harassment and taunting, but her father did absolutely nothing to stop it.

And today, when she needed her father to back her up, he became brutal.

“Because of your other daughter, who can never get rid of the jealousy in her heart, I find myself in this situation. I don't know what kind of vengeance she intends, but this time she went beyond what I could tolerate." Jessica yelled as she rose to her feet, "I won't let her go so easily." She was wounded but not in pain.

When her daughter's name was dragged into this, Eva gritted her teeth in resentment. Even though Jessica deserved more slaps, she refrained from doing so in front of Darren.

“Dad, I wish you don't get married again. We don't need to breed so many snakes." For the first time in her life, Jessica yelled directly at her father.

“Jessica,” Darren shouted and reached for the whip, hanging on the wall. He stepped forward angrily. Jessica knew that she will be whipped but it did not make her budge from her place because she wanted to see how far her father would go to support them, ignoring his own blood.

“Stop this nonsense, Dad."

A 23-year-old man grabbed Darren's whip and stopped him from striking Jessica.

“Stefen,” Eva yelled angrily because her foolish son had just interrupted a fantastic moment. She would be at ease if she saw Jessica whip.

Stefen snatched the whip from his father's grasp and threw it away. "Come with me, Jess. Do not mind Father," he said as he moved closer to Jessica.

Stefen kissed his step-sister on the forehead and stroked her cheek. Jessica shoved him aside as if she did not need his care or sympathy.

On the other hand, Jessica couldn't stop giving her father a look that said, "I'm not going to complain anymore; I'm going to show you how strong you make me by crushing my values."

“Jess, please,” Stefen pursued his step-sister with a gentle tone.

"Stefen, save your time. She hasn't let go of the bitterness in her heart, so, she forgets how to value someone's love,” Darren said, fuming in anger.

“Let me handle it, Dad," Stefen said to Darren, grabbing Jessica's hand, which she swatted away again.

"I don't require anyone's sympathy. Go to hell, everyone," Jessica yelled, tears streaming down her cheeks.

“You don't want to change, don't you? It's sad, Jessica.” Darren shook his head.

“Make plans to send her to Poland, Stefen. She won't come back until I want her and..." Darren took a break and let out a deep sigh.

He continued, “She can no longer use Lawrence after her name.”

"Dad." Stefen attempted to halt his father.

"Hahaha!” After a brief burst of laughter, Jessica glared at her father and said, "Starting today, I won't give a damn about Lawrence. Furthermore, you are no longer my father."

Rilika, on the other hand, was waiting outside the same room where Jessica and Liam Grey had stayed. She wanted to be sure because she wasn't ready for it to be Liam.

The door burst open unexpectedly, and a large figure entered her field of vision. Rilika gazed at the Grey family's second master's mesmerizing face.

“I-I am,” Rilika whispered.

Liam regarded the woman below and wondered if she was the same as last night, up until the hickey on her neck caught his attention.

Liam grabbed Rilika's arm and said, “I will take responsibility. No need to be scared.”
