The end of the bitter past

While Vlad received tea, bread, and cakes, the butler served Jessica nutritious meals in accordance with the doctor's advice.

Liam wrapped a thin cloak over Jessica's shoulder and said, “Winter is almost here, therefore the temperature will soon feel severe. I do not want you to become sick with a cold."

In front of Vlad, Liam gave Jessica a quick, light kiss on the head, showing that he cared nothing. He would provide Jessica with love and care if she needed it, regardless of what other people thought.

“I am grateful. Will you join us at the table for breakfast?"

When Jessica noticed Liam was not considering taking the empty seat next to her, she softly inquired.

“No, I will join you soon after a stroll," Liam responded, placing the soup bowl in front of her and saying,

"This is vegetable soup, drink it slowly. The doctor instructed me to give you at least twice a day, and you can have your tea later."
