Chapter Thirty-four

Henry came briskly out of the condominium. His eyes were lit with satisfaction. His right hand was tucked into the pocket of his overcoat. He fingered the ten thousand dollars. This was just like business, only that this time; the client wasn’t the middle-aged or elderly widows he was used to. He didn’t care that Natasha had laid on her back, unresponsive while he had his way with her. He had enjoyed every moment of the act. She had been an outlet for his pent-up, frustrated sexual desires.

He turned to the right and moved down the street. He was heading for Craig’s tattoo shop, a trek able distance from the condo. Gorevoy had told him to get rid of the tattoo he had made on his right hand as soon as he had done the job.

David Donovan watched from his Mercedes as a man bumped into Henry.

Henry did not see the face of the man who bumped into him, and said, “Sorry.” The man rushed past him and moved up the street
