Chapter twenty-five

"Collins!" I called out at him.

And he walked his legs towards me, fazed by the sudden outpour.

"What happened, Lucia?" He was confused.

"Don't tell me, you had hidden the truth from me all this while."

"What's going on?" He asked and I pressed my lip tight, but somehow he seemed amused? I wasn't sure, his expression was too tricky for me to find out.

"The fact that someone had to tell me Dad attacked your family, and that's why you're here! Must you hide such a secret from me?" I explained and he narrowed his eyes looking down, unable to face me, he might probably be thinking about how he found out.

Looking at his eyes I felt silence for a moment before he nodded an answer. "It's true, and–" he wanted to say.

"That's why you never wanted to come with me? You should have at least told me you hated me for that." I said and his dark brown eyes assessed me.

"I don't hate you, Lucia, I wanted to be here and Fiona gave me reasons to find a home here." He said, stepping closer to me.
