Chapter 44: travel

Kara and her sister Luna touched down in Paris after a bumpy flight, with the dark sky and the wind signaling the imminent rain.

"Hurry up!" Kara screamed, as they both sprinted towards the waiting car, just seconds before the rain poured down with force.

Luna wasn't as thrilled as Kara had anticipated; her mood was rather gloomy.

"Cheer up," Kara urged, giving her sister a gentle push on the shoulder as they settled into the black car that would take them to their hotel.

In a matter of minutes, they arrived at their destination, the black cab splashing water on the pavement as it came to a halt outside the Horizon Hotel.
