‘I will not risk her again Saph. She is all I have left of my family, my lineage lies withing her blood. If you want to go then you go but I have no desire to be before the Lycan King again.’ Sapphire looks at me with her mouth hung open. ‘Cline…’ I out my hand up and shake my head. ‘I have made enough mistakes Saph. Silas is right and I will heed the advice of my Beta now like I should have before.’ I walk past them both and into Selene’s room. ‘Selene.’ I’m shocked to almost bump into her on the other side of the door. ‘We should go. I need to see that beast again and let him know he hasn’t won.’ Her face has the same look of defiance and determination her mothers would get when we would argue. It makes my heart ache from the loss of my mate that is still so raw inside.

‘There is a lot to talk about Selene but now is not the place or the time. The doctors are only letting you come home because I promised them you would rest and talk to one of our own psychiatri
