Chapter Fourty-One

Lucius

Big lorries fill the car park along with some huge motorbikes and a couple of family cars. Nothing out of the ordinary. I walk quickly across the brightly lit car park and through the double glass doors into the motel’s restaurant. The pungent stench of humans hits me like a bulldozer and I gag into the crook of my arm, but luckily I manage to hold back the vomit that threatens to spew all over the place. The busy buzz of the noisy kitchen and low hum of chatter conceals most of the noise. I hate humans more than I hate werewolves. At least werewolves don’t act like they own the world and everything in it. What I would give for the supernatural world to takes its place as the dominant rulers of the world. The King would never make such a bold move as to even suggest such a thing.

‘Evenin’ hun. Let me show you to a table.’ A plump, older human woman with pinned up brown hair, like a birds nest on top of her head, greets me at the door. She smiles and her teeth are tinged brown
