Chapter 3

Camila was still sobbing, not believing that she had wronged her father and been banished from her pack. She had seen how her father had banished other pack members, and slowly, their pack was dwindling, as some Eastern members even fled before news of their sins reached her father.

Camila was so absent-minded that she didn't realize Henry had arrived home. She was waiting to be taken to the refugee house, as she knew no one in the Western Pack, nor did she have any family there. She also knew that when the former Eastern members her father had banished saw her in the Western Pack, they would want revenge.

"Come down from the car," Henry's deep, masculine voice jolted Camila back to reality. She snapped out of her trance and stared back at him, seeing him step down and walk to her side of the car to open the door for her.

Camila was afraid as she stepped out of the blue car. She hadn't even noticed it was a blue Porsche, as her mind was preoccupied with her sin and the reason for her banishment. Her father was without mercy.

"Follow me," Henry said. Only then did Camila snap out of it and notice how everything looked interconnected. She was amazed by the magnificent white mansion in front of her.

"Is this the Western Pack's refugee house?" Camila asked in shock, not even realizing they had arrived at the mansion. Henry laughed before coldly replying, "No."

Camila gulped. She would have thought the Western Pack was rich enough to have such a magnificent building just for foreigners and werewolves without a home. But as they approached the front of the mansion, after Henry had parked farther away from the frontage in the garage, Camila was surprised at how magnificent the exterior view was. The white mansion was three times bigger than her father's mansion. She could see the guards at the frontage, all bowing to Henry as he walked in front of her.

Henry approached the front door, unlocked it, and said to Camila, "Wait here first."

Camila watched him walk into the mansion as she stood at the frontage, wondering what would happen to her next. She couldn't trust anyone from the Western Pack, not after all her training and teachings by her father.

Soon, two young ladies came out. Camila was shocked, expecting an older man, perhaps someone her father's age, to step out and judge her for her sins. But the two maids said to her, "Follow us."

Camila gulped silently and followed the maids as they walked to the back of the mansion. The two maids stopped, and one of them picked up a hose from the floor, connected the white pipe to a tap, and said to Camila, "Strip your clothes."

"My what?" Camila looked embarrassed that the two maids in blue uniforms wanted her náked. She wondered what they were up to. *Did they want to prepare me for that man to sleep with me?*

"No! I cannot strip my clothes. Please let me go. I don't mean any harm."

Camila could see the two young ladies only stare at each other, and she saw the moon symbol on their heads. She knew they were born and loyal servants to the Alpha, just like her maids at home had been. One of the maids finally said to Camila, "You're a foreigner here, and we don't have time to interact with you now. We don't know your mission here in our pack, but Alpha Henry sent us to bathe you and properly search you to make sure you aren't carrying any dangerous weapons beneath your dress. Please be fast, as Alpha Collins and Luna Ruth are waiting to meet with you in the Grand Hall."

Camila gulped. She knew she couldn't protest anymore. She stripped off her light nightgown, as she was tired and needed a place to rest and heal her wounds.

After Camila stripped completely náked, one of the maids gave her a soap and sponge to bathe with. Camila was shivering from the cold, as she had previously been drenched by the heavy rain that had stopped.

Meanwhile, inside the mansion, in the Grand Hall, Henry's father spoke to him, "Henry! How could you breach our pack's law and bring a foreigner here, straight to our mansion? Do you want to risk all of our lives?"

"No, Father... Actually, I'm..." Henry tried to speak, but his father cut him off.

"You have no right, son, to bring a total stranger here, especially from the Eastern Pack. She will have to leave for the refugee house now. Once she's done with whatever you sent the maids to do with her. We don't mingle with foreigners or live with them. If you fail to keep your guard up, they will trample upon us and turn rogue, taking over our pack."

"I'm sorry, Father," Henry apologized. His father sat on the throne, staring at him, while his mother stood with his two younger sisters. They were curious to see the foreigner he had brought home, as Henry had never made such a mistake before.

"It's alright. Send the guards to take her to the refugee house, and tomorrow morning they should bring her here. I would like to see her and know if she's telling the truth. If she is, we will allow her to join our pack. But if she's found guilty of lying, she will be punished and forbidden from being a member of our pack."

"Okay, Father. Can I go now to check on other things?" Henry asked, and his father replied, "As you please... But send the guards to take her away once she's through with whatever you are doing with her. And like I said, let this mistake never repeat itself. It's good to see the rest of the pack members are in their homes. None will be aware that you dared to bring a total stranger here to our mansion."

"I'm sorry, Father," Henry apologized again, feeling his father's anger. His father dismissed him, "Leave my sight."

"As you wish, Father," Henry said, immediately walking out of the mansion. His mother and sisters followed him, wanting to see the foreigner he had brought home.

Juliet and Madelyn, the twins, were both angry as they walked out with their mother to see the foreigner too.
