Chapter 1

Alpha Jackson White was boiling with rage when he found out that his 18-year-old daughter, Camila White, was pregnant.

"Who got you pregnant?" Alpha Jackson roared at Camila as they were inside his living room on the ground floor of his duplex mansion.

"Alpha, please take it easy on Camila; she's only a young girl," Camila's mother, Theresa White, pleaded with her husband. As she was the Luna of their pack, the Eastern Wood Pack, she felt she needed to intervene.

"Don't tell me to calm down! First, I was against Camila going to the club to celebrate her birthday, but you said she was already an adult. Now look at what being an adult has turned her into! At this point in her life, when she's supposed to be furthering her education at university, she chose to bring shame and disgrace to our family and to the pack at large!" Alpha Jackson said, bitterly discovering that Camila was already three months pregnant, and she had no idea who the father was.

Camila knelt in her father's living room, crying, "Please, Father, forgive me."

"Shut up! And I will ask you for the last time: who did you shamefully sleep with?" Alpha Jackson demanded, knowing that Camila was his only daughter and only child.

It hurt Alpha Jackson deeply, as he wanted Camila to marry Beta Ronald's son in the future to help him rule the pack. Now, Camila had ruined everything with her foolishness and naivety.

"I don't know, Father..." Camila cried as she knelt, begging her father for mercy.

The last thing Camila remembered was being at the clubhouse with her friends, celebrating her birthday. There, she met her mate, Andre Mason, and she fell in love with him, but after drinking from the wine bottle her best friend, Anita George, had given her, everything was a blur.

"Answer me before I throw you out this minute! Who got you pregnant?" Alpha Jackson asked, pulling off his trouser belt.

"I have been lenient with you for long enough, and it seems you think I cannot discipline you." Alpha Jackson rushed at Camila and began to whip her with his black belt.

"Alpha! Take it easy on Camila! You will kill her! Camila is our only daughter! Somebody help!" Luna Theresa screamed, rushing to separate her husband from Camila.

Given the way Alpha Jackson's mansion was built, none of the neighbors could enter his grounds, even at this late hour.

They could only hear the sounds of the whip and Camila's cries and wails.

Alpha Jackson whipped Camila until her beautiful yellow skin peeled and her white nightgown was torn.

"Guards!" Alpha Jackson called out to the guards stationed around him after he was done whipping Camila, who was breathing heavily and crying.

"Throw her out—completely out of this pack. I don't want to see her anywhere near our pack again. Camila ceases to be my daughter from today onwards," Alpha Jackson spoke to the two guards who came in.

"Okay, Alpha," the two guards replied, immediately bundling Camila away.

"No, Alpha! You cannot do this to Camila! Bring back my daughter!" Luna Theresa cried out, calling after the guards, but none dared go against Alpha Jackson's orders.

Luna Theresa ran after the two guards who had bundled Camila away, as they each held her by the arms and pulled her out.

"No! Bring back my daughter! My precious jewel!" Luna Theresa screamed after the two guards, attracting the pack members to come out of their houses, wondering what was happening as their Luna cried.

"Camila!! No!" Luna Theresa, dressed in a lime-colored nightgown, caught up with the two guards and tried to pull Camila away from their hold.

Camila was already too tired to protest, and her wolf, Ivy, was too weak to shapeshift and fight against the guards to plead with her father.

Camila knew her father was ruthless, but she had never been on his wrong side, as she had always tried to be the good daughter he wanted. She aspired to be a good leader so that other young werewolves in the pack would look up to her as the next Alpha, despite being female.

But she had failed her father, and for the first time in her 18 years of life, he had raised his belt against her and disciplined her.

Camila felt sore as she watched her mother try to pull her away from the guards dragging her from the pack.

"Luna, we cannot go against Alpha Jackson's orders. Camila has been banished; please try to understand," the two guards begged, knowing how ruthless Alpha Jackson was and that he would not spare any offenders.

"You cannot take my daughter away! I haven't banished Camila yet, and she is still a member of our Eastern Pack! Let go of Camila at once!" Luna Theresa commanded, but the guards knew best whose orders to follow.

"We cannot, Luna. We're sorry," they refused to let go of Camila and dragged her further away from her mother while running.

Luna Theresa became exhausted from chasing after the two guards, who were fast with Camila, and she noticed they were already nearing the exit of the Eastern Pack.

"No!! My Camila!" Luna Theresa dropped to her knees, crying as her vision blurred with tears.

The two guards finally reached the pack's exit gate and threw Camila out, locking the heavy gate behind her.

"Go away and never return to this pack! Else you know very well what your father will do to you," one of the guards warned Camila, aware that she knew her father’s ruthlessness.

They turned and walked back through the Eastern Pack gate, leaving Camila behind as the guards at the entrance shut the gate firmly.

Camila was too weak to stand, still kneeling in front of her pack's entrance gate.

Her body ached and stung from the pain she had received.

She didn’t know how she had become pregnant, only remembering meeting her mate for the first time and getting drunk afterward.

Tears streamed down her face, and soon heavy rain began to fall, accompanied by strong winds.

The raindrops drenched her already light white nightgown, and Camila knew she had no other option but to stand up and search for shelter. But from where?

Camila also understood that no other packs would accept her because she had the Eastern tattoo on her right arm and the sun symbol tattoo on her forehead, marking her as a member of the Eastern Pack.

The rising sun symbol on her forehead indicated to other packs that she was a foreigner from the Eastern Pack, and many other packs despised her father, as they knew he did not tolerate cheating or any form of sin.

Alpha Jackson was known for his discipline, integrity, and uprightness within the pack, and now Camila had failed to embody that true leadership spirit.

Camila dragged herself onward as the heavy rain soaked her body, making her way toward the path leading to the Western Wood Pack.

Camila knew the Western Packs were known for their deceit, lies, and treachery, much like her father had always warned her.

The Western Wood Packs were typically welcoming to foreigners and often accepted them into their ranks.

As Camila approached the Western Pack's border and entrance gate, which was far from her father’s pack, she felt hopeful that once there, they would accept her, despite knowing she was the Alpha’s daughter.
