ATLAS

She stared at me, waiting to give her an explanation, but I had none.

She sneered, walked to the end of the cell, and sat on the floor. A worried look plastered on her face as she curled her knees up, burying her head in her knee.

I wondered what was going on in that mind of hers. Maybe if I told her who I was, then I would keep her mind at ease, but wouldn’t that be dangerous?

Being my mate didn’t erase the fact that I didn’t know who she was and if she was on Zayn’s side and not mine, it was best to keep it to myself for now.

I walked opposite her, sitting on the floor and staring at her. It was going to be a long day and worse, a long night if the bodyguards didn’t come back to inform us of Alpha Hector’s decision.

I grabbed the jacket the bodyguard offered me earlier to cover me and tossed it towards her. “here, you might get cold,” I said to her.

She raised her head, grabbing the jacket with a frown on her face. “Don’t act like you care,” she sneered, tossing the jacket
