Chapter 7

The royal pack stood solemnly in front of my father's grave, all dressed in black, paying their final respects to our deceased king. My heart felt torn, and I could sense the deep wounds within me, bleeding a river of grief. I stood sandwiched between my brothers, Logan and Zayne, my eyes fixed on the lifeless body of the most loveliest man I had ever known.

He lay there, still and motionless, his eyes shut forever. Oh, how I longed to hear his heartbeat once more, to listen to his gentle breathing. I wished, with every fiber of my being, that he would rise from the coffin and declare this all to be a sick joke. I hoped my father would approach me, embracing me in a warm hug, promising that he would never leave my side.

But the cruel reality sank in—the painful truth that would never change. I lived in a world of magic and wonder, yet no sorcerer could bring back my father. He was gone, forever taken from my brother and me.
