Damian's car pulled into the driveway just as the sky began to darken.

Joana was already waiting by the entrance, her face visibly relieved upon seeing their return.

"Sir, Madam," Joana greeted, bowing politely. "What would you like for dinner? I'll prepare it right away."

Sienna glanced at Damian, waiting for his decision. However, the man merely raised his chin, gesturing for Sienna to decide for herself.

Sienna turned her gaze back to Joana, who was waiting attentively.

Sienna sat beside Naomi, clutching her friend's hand, which still felt cold and was trembling."Drink this while it's warm." Sienna handed a teacup to Naomi.Naomi took a sip of the tea Sienna offered first, then let out a deep breath to calm the shock and fear from the ordeal she had just experienced."Tell me again," Sienna said softly, "how did it happen this morning?"Naomi exhaled slowly, her eyes still swollen. "I had just woken up because I smelled smoke. When I looked toward the back, the flames were already quite large, Sienna. I didn't have time to think about anything else and focused entirely on getting the kids out.""Maybe it was an electrical short circuit," Sienna suggested, attempting to find a logical explanation."I don't know," Naomi replied, her voice still shaking. "Why did this have to happen now, Sienna? Why so suddenly?"Sienna stroked Naomi's back, trying to comfort her even as the very same question hovered in her own mind. An uneasy foreboding weighed on he

It didn't take long for Samuel to secure a temporary residence for the orphanage children. The temporary home was quite spacious, complete with several rooms that could comfortably accommodate all the kids.Sienna was busy ensuring that every child had a bed, a warm blanket, and a light snack to soothe their nerves after the traumatic events of the morning."Big Sister Sienna, is this my room?" asked one of the little girls. Her eyes were still puffy, but a faint smile was beginning to break through."Yes, sweetheart," Sienna answered gently, fluffing the pillow on the small bed. "If you need anything later, just call for me, okay?"The girl nodded, hugging a small stuffed toy that a caretaker had managed to rescue from the fire earlier.Once she made sure all the children were settled and calm, Sienna stepped outside, looking for Damian, who had been busy talking on the phone earlier. She found him standing on the back terrace, conversing with Samuel, who had arrived with a few docum

"Why would I joke about this, Sienna? The orphanage is actually on fire, Sienna!" Naomi's voice shrieked hysterically from the other end of the line, her sobs mixing with frantic screams in the background.Sienna froze for a moment, feeling as though a heavy blow had struck her chest. Yet, she forced herself to stay calm even as her breathing came in ragged gasps. "Naomi, listen to me. I'm heading there right away. Keep the children safe and stay away from the fire, okay!"Sienna ended the call with trembling hands. She was just about to step off the bed when she heard Damian's voice."Sienna? What's wrong?"Sienna turned her head to see Damian awake, his eyes still heavy with sleep.Damian sat up immediately upon catching the sheer panic etched across Sienna's face."The orphanage is on fire," Sienna said, her voice shaking violently. "I have to get there right now, Damian.""What?" Any remaining drowsiness vanished instantly from Damian's eyes. "I'll drive you."Sienna nodded franti

Dinner at Damian's residence was punctuated by a comfortable silence.Sienna and Damian sat at the dining table, enjoying the meal Joana had thoughtfully prepared."Eat more." Damian placed a piece of meat onto Sienna's plate.Sienna let out a soft laugh. Swallowing the food in her mouth first, she said, "It's not me who isn't eating enough, it's you. Why don't you eat a bit more too?"With that, Sienna picked up a piece of meat from the serving dish and placed it onto Damian's plate.Damian nodded. "Since you're asking, I'll eat more."The two shared lighthearted banter as they ate, until a very familiar voice echoed through the dining room."Having dinner without inviting your father, hm?" Simon looked at Damian and Sienna, who both turned toward him."Papa?" Damian was slightly surprised by his father's unannounced visit. "What brings you here all of a sudden?""I happened to be passing by," Simon said casually, his gaze shifting to Sienna, who stood up politely to greet him. "Sien

Vivian's luxurious apartment felt icy cold that night, even though the air conditioner wasn't set as high as usual.Vivian tossed her handbag violently onto the sofa, slipping off her high heels at random and leaving them lying discarded on the marble floor."Damn it!" she hissed, her hands balling into tight fists. She walked over to the large glass window in the living room, staring at her own reflection. Her face, which she had always kept impeccably composed, was now disheveled, her eyes bloodshot as she struggled to hold back a rage that had found no outlet all evening. All of her plans had crumbled in a matter of minutes. For years she had constructed the image of a frail, aggrieved victim; for years she had manipulated Beatrice into taking her side—only for everything to collapse right before everyone's eyes in the corridor of the Blackwell Group."This is all because of Sienna," Vivian muttered, her voice trembling with suppressed fury. "If that woman had never re-entered Dami
