Vernice keeps phasing back and forth in their living room. She is actually worried about their current situation.

Earlier, she checked their joint bank account and saw that there were only a few dollars left. She can't help but think about how they will survive.

She and Hans rented an apartment in Lys where they can stay in the meantime. It was their temporary solution, while they were waiting for the company to take off.
