Bringing out his phone from his pocket, Edward quickly placed a call to his informant, who had told him about Amelia's return.
"Hello, sir," the informant's voice sounded through the phone after the call was picked up. "Where is she?" Edward asked him immediately. "Who, please, is it your wife?" the informant asked Edward, who scoffed in disbelief. "And who the hell will I be asking about? Where the fuck is she, goddamnit?" Edward asked the informant with an angry tone. "I'm sorry, sir, but I don't know where she is," the informant said to Edward with a low tone. "And what exactly do you mean by you don't know where she is?" Edward asked him with a cold and menacing tone. "Well, after I sent you her location, something came up, so I had to leave to attend to it. That's why I wasn't able to keep an eye on her until you met up with her. I thought she would be where she was until you arrived," the informant said to Edward, who sighed heavily in order to calm himself. "Find her; you have exactly thirty minutes to find out where she is, or you will be the one they are looking for," Edward said to him with a menacing tone. "I will find her right away, sir," the informant said to Edward with a frightened tone. "Well, you better do, and also I want you to get for me every possible piece of information you can get on her," Edward said to the informant. "I will, sir," the informant said to Edward with a trembling tone. "Okay then, the thirty minutes is already counting," Edward said to the informant before hanging up the call and turning his gaze towards the driver, who was avoiding his gaze out of fear. Without uttering a single word to him, Edward walked past him and got into the car, and without hesitating, the driver also rushed into the car and closed the door. "Sir, where are we heading to?" The driver asked Edward as he got into the car. "Back to the company," Edward said to the driver, who immediately ignited the car and drove off. Getting to the company, Edward made his way to his office while ignoring the greetings of the employees who always greeted him despite the fact that he never responds to their greetings. Getting into his office, he collapsed on his chair before taking a look at his wristwatch and muttering, "Fifteen minutes remaining." Afterwards, he sat up on his chair and was about to switch on his computer when the door of his office suddenly burst open, and with that, a young man who probably had the same age as Edward walked inside while grinning ear to ear despite Edward's angry glare. "Hey bro, you are back already," the man said to Edward as he walked towards the chair opposite him and sat down. "Adrian, tell me, do you have a death wish?" Edward asked him with a fake smile that made him look like a maniac. "No, of course not, and why the hell are you asking me that?" Adrian, who was Edward's personal assistant and also best and only friend, asked him with furrowed brows. "Well next time, before you barge into my office without knocking, you better have a death wish," Edward said to him as his facial expression turned cold. "Well, it wouldn't be a crime if I died in the hands of my best friend, so if you want me to be knocking before coming into your office, then you better think about something else more scary than death," Adrian said to Edward, whose gaze was fixed on his computer. "By the way, how was your meeting with your mom?" Adrian asked Edward. "Terrible as always," Edward said to him without sparing him a glance. "Ooh, let me guess, she found you another bride," Adrian said to Edward, who lifted his head and looked at him before returning his gaze towards his computer. "I knew it," Adrian muttered with a proud smile, as he knew that he was the only one who could guess correctly what Edward was thinking about; no one else aside from him can do that due to how unpredictable Edward was. "But bro, don't you think it's time you finally get married so that the old woman would stop disturbing you every time? I don't know what spell that Amelia, put on you, but you need to snap out of it; you aren't getting any younger," Adrian said to Edward. "And neither are you, and the last time I checked, you are still single just like me, and unlike me, who has once gotten married, you have never for once thought about it; the only thing you do is sleep around with different types of ladies every now and then," Edward said to Adrian, who scoffed at him. "And who the hell said that I have never thought about getting married? We both know that the reason why I haven't yet gotten married is because I haven't yet found the right person. All the ladies I have been encountering on blind dates are nothing but gold diggers; all they want is my money and not me. Or would you give me your younger sister? At least she's from a wealthy family, so she won't be with me because of my money," Adrian said to Edward, who immediately shot him an angry glare. "Chill, bro, I was just kidding. Don't kill me with those eyes of yours. Your sister is my sister too, and I haven't forgotten that," Adrian said to Edward and, at the same time, his phone. After glaring at Adrian for some minutes, Edward shook his head in disbelief before taking his phone to check the caller ID. On seeing who was calling, Edward first of all checked the time before picking up the call and placing the phone on his ear. "Hello, sir, I have found her," the informant's voice sounded through the phone. "You are a minute late," Edward said to him while ignoring what he had. just said. To be continued...Amelia could be seen getting out of a taxi in front of one of the biggest festival squares in New York City.Getting down from the taxi, the first thing that caught her attention was all the luxurious cars parked at the parking lot of the festival square.On seeing this, Amelia immediately regretted not purchasing a car before returning back to New York City; she was so focused on getting a good apartment that she didn't think of other things like getting a car that she would use to run her different errands till the end of the competition. Thinking about this, Amelia sighed heavily before bringing out her phone and placing a call to the lady who had contacted her earlier to tell her that she was her agent and that they would be meeting at the party.After some minutes of ringing, the lady finally picked up the call."Hello, ma'am, I'm here already," Amelia said through the phone after the call was picked up. "Okay, I will be there in a minute," the lady said to Amelia before hangin
"It was a twenty-minute ride from the new apartment Amelia had rented back to Sarah's house.Once she got down from the taxi and looked towards the entrance of Sarah's apartment, the first thought that came to her mind was what happened five years ago, precisely on the day she got married to Edward. Up till today, she still can't believe that she made the bold decision to escape from New York City on the very same day she got married, and whenever she remembers this, she can't help but shake her head in disbelief. 'Well, it wasn't a bad decision, though. If I hadn't made that bold decision five years ago, who knows what I would have become today, especially with that cold-hearted Edward?' Amelia thought inwardly as she recalled what she had gone through with Edward before escaping from New York City. She didn't even spend up to forty-eight hours with him, but she can confidently say that she went through hell with him. 'He was really the devil, just as everyone rumoured. I don't eve

I tried my best to get back to you before the end of the thirty minutes, but there was much information. Not only did I find out where she is right now, but I also found out the reason why she came back from where she has been staying all this while," the informant said to Edward with a trembling tone."And why did she come back?" Edward asked the informant with an interested tone that made the informant to heave a sigh of relief."Well, according to what I found out, there's a modelling competition that will be taking place very soon, and she is among the participants, so that's likely the reason why she came back, and for the apartment that I sent you the address of earlier, I think that's where she will be staying till the end of the competition," the informant said to Edward

It was a fifteen-minute ride from the airport to the address sent to Amelia by the real estate agent, who was supposed to show her around the new apartment she had rented before returning to New York City. Getting down from the car, Amelia paid the driver before heading to the entrance of the apartment, and with that, she placed a soft knock on the door and waited for the door to be opened. "A minute, please." A voice sounded from inside, and after a while the door burst open, revealing a man who was probably in his late forties. "Good afternoon, Mr. James," Amelia greeted the real estate agent as he opened the door. "Yes, good afternoon, it's Mrs. Jones, right?" The real estate agent asked Amelia, who nodded in reply, and with that he shot her a strange look as if he had just remembered something about her. "Is everything okay?" Amelia, who didn't fail to realise the change on the man's face, asked him. "Yes, everything is okay. Tell me, have we met before?" The real estat
It was a sunny day at LaGuardia Airport, one of the biggest airports in New York City. People could be seen walking in and out of the airport with their luggage. Meanwhile, Amelia could also be seen walking out of the airport premises while dragging her luggage, and right beside her was Dave, who was holding her second free hand. "Mummy, is Dad coming to pick us up?" Dave asked Amelia as they were walking out of the airport, but as Amelia was about to reply, she spotted Sarah, who was walking towards her while grinning ear to ear. "And who do we have here?" Sarah asked Amelia as she got closer to her, and with that, she hugged her tightly. "You don't know how much I have missed you," Sarah said to Amelia while hugging her. "You don't know how much I have missed you too, bestie," Amelia said to her while hugging her back. Disengaging from the hug, Sarah's gaze traveled to little Dave, who was standing beside Amelia. Seeing him, the first person that came to her mind was Edward;
