05 : Anonymous Letters

Lucy rushes out as soon as she hears Olivia's scream. Olivia stands with her hands stretched out and eyes filled with terror as she panics at the sight of her blood-covered hands.

She had pulled out the content from the gift bag only to discover that it was a cloth covered in fresh blood. It was a horrible sight and it made her really terrified.

What sort of prank is this? Why would anyone want to play such jokes on her? This is really crossing the line. Whoever this anonymous fan is.. He's dangerous.

"Goodness!!" Lucy gasps in shock, seeing Olivia in such terrified state. She picks up the letter and reads through it, she found it hard to believe that it's resulting to such extents.

Lucy tries to touch Olivia but she flinch in fear and rush back in. Olivia made her way to the kitchen and begins to wash the blood stains off her hands.

The sight of it leaves her irritated and she feels like throwing up. She feels goosebumps on her skin too.

"Why isn't this coming off? Why is it so hard to get it off?" Olivia panicked as she added more soap to get rid of the blood which has stubbornly refused to get off.

"You have to calm down Olivia..."

"Calm down? You want me to calm down when I still have blood on my hands. I feel like a murderer right now, I feel like I just murdered someone. Do you know how it feels to have blood dripping from your hand?" Hot tears fills her eyes.

Lucy felt pity for her sister. She slowly reached for her hands and she could see how scared Olivia was. Lucy carefully helped her wash the blood stains off and once she was done, she applied hand sanitizer on them.

"There you go! It's completely off!" She said with a smile. Olivia began to cry and hugs Lucy.

Lucy taps her back gently and led her to the sofa, then left to get her a glass of water. Once Olivia became calm, she wipes off her tears.

"I have a bad feeling about this Olivia. This might not be just any biggest fan... What if it's just your colleague who's jealous of your comeback. Whoever that is, might just be threatened you would steal their spotlight.."

Olivia sucks in a lot of breath, calming her nerves since she is really traumatized about the whole thing. Lucy is right, this might be just a set up to pull her down or it could be a plan from someone else just to make life miserable for her.

"What if he's actually doing this on purpose just to traumatize me more?"

"Who?" Lucy asked.

"Maynard.!! What if he's the one behind this all this time?"

Lucy kept quiet but speaks up after sometime. "As much as I want to agree to that, I don't think Maynard has something to do with this. It's been over two years already. He would not do something as stupid as this. Besides, he won't achieve anything from this. Like I said, it might be someone who's jealous of your fame..."

Olivia rubs her palms together, she couldn't get the image off her mind.. it's driving her crazy. She knows what biggest fans do, they send letters of admiration and gifts then demand autographs but not to the point of sending bloody cloth in a gift bag.

"I can't let this slide anymore. I have to report this to the police. This cannot keep going on!"

"It wouldn't have gotten to this point if you had listened to me earlier..." Lucy sighs.. "..I Know you won't be able to drive in this condition, Where's the car key?"

"It's.. It's in my wardrobe"

Lucy nods and leaves to Olivia's room while Olivia facepalms herself. Everything now scares her and at this point, she's not sure she's safe here anymore.

Maynard kept going through his laptop, his gaze fixed on its screen as he reads through the trending comments online.

He's completely taken by surprise to see that a lot of people kept singing praises of some lady who actually just stormed the movie industry. They repeatedly keep saying how much they love her and wants her to feature in more movies.

How come he's just getting to see this? Why didn't he know about this earlier? What keeps him hooked is the fact that they keep referring to her as Olivia Dalton.

Could it be that it's the same Olivia Dalton he knows off?... His ex wife?

He goes on and decides to have brief look at the movie she featured in and when he was done, he still didn't get the answers he needed.

He was unable to get a glimpse of her face throughout the movie because she had a mask on.

However, he discards the idea that the trending actress is his Ex-wife. It's really none of his business.

What matters to him right now is the potentials he had seen in the new actress. She's really good and he loved the way she played out her role.

Somehow, he feels like they'd both make a great movie if they feature in a movie together.

Picking up his phone, He calls his chauffeur... "Henry? come over to my office"

He concentrated back on his laptop. The fact that a lot of people praise and loves her, means she's really good at acting but what he doesn't understand is why there isn't any pictures of her.

A knock interrupts his thoughts and he mutters..."Come in"

Henry walks in. "Sir, you called"

Maynard turns his laptop towards Henry..

"Take a look at this? What do you know about this?"

Henry leans down, taking a look at the content of the screen. After a while, he adjusts himself back and responded.

"She's the new actress who recently took to the media sir. From what I know Sir, she has been away from acting for years and only just returned..."

Maynard crease his brows, becoming interested.

"If you know so much, why am I just getting to know about this? Why didn't you tell me?"

"Am sorry sir, but I really didn't find it necessary to tell you. I didn't know you'd be interested in that..."

Maynard sighed.

"Inform my secretary to prepare a letter of partnership with this industry that I want to get a movie done with this particular actress... Olivia Dalton"

Henry leaves and Maynard continues to go through the internet. He's fuçking eager to meet with this actress and form a partnership with her.
