The air flooded with a sweaty pack of heat around the wolves in their seats. Josh could feel the pressure getting higher in his body. His hands were on a mission to hand out perfect water bottles that always spread a cold thread onto his skin.

A smile appeared on his face when five students volunteered to join the day before, but quickly it tortured his persona. The crowd was not as happy as he was. There he was, glancing at the other team warming up their shoulders before the tournament start

  • Mr. President Perfect   Chapter 31: He knows

The sky over the city had turned a bruised, violent purple, and the rain thundered against the roof of the car with a deafening roar and the memory with Tristan earlier faded.Inside the luxury sedan, the cold air that lurked inside was biting every time Josh breath.Josh sat huddled in the passenger seat, his breath hitching in his chest as the creepy silence between him and his stepbrother grew tight. Why was River here? Josh wondered frantically. It was never River who picked him up from school.it was always the family driver. The sudden change in routine felt like a trap, a script that he didn’t read of the confrontation currently unfolding in the confusion.River’s hands were clamped onto the steering wheel with such white-knuckled intensity that the leather groaned under the pressure. The sheer force of his presence seemed to warp the very air around him and he threw it all away before he could even felt Tristan’s eyes that made his heart throb.Josh can felt River’s mind con

  • Mr. President Perfect   Chapter 30: Let Me See Your Secret

"Help! Josh, where are you!" Tristan’s voice cut clearly through the darkness. Josh was frantically reaching out, searching for a hand to hold. He didn’t know where Tristan was and he couldn't bring himself to answer. His throat was bone-dry, and his vision was swallowed by pitch black. Beneath him, the floor felt like cracking stone, twisting into hair-like symbols that chilled him to the bone. "I don't know where you are, Tristan! Just stay put. Don't fall! We’re still on the stage, not the floor," Josh warned. He was terrified that Tristan might stumble and fall straight into the blades of death. "Okay, got it. We should probably just stay still until the lights come back on. Hopefully, Jesus has mercy on us." Tristan was right, but Josh’s hands had just brushed against something hard and moving. His grip tightened instinctively, his muscles locking up because he couldn't tell what he was holding onto. "Josh, is that you? I can feel your hand. You’re really grabbing onto m

  • Mr. President Perfect   Chapter 29: Avoid Method

“No, no he can’t find out about the bruises right on my neck.” Josh stared in front of a mirror reflecting his image. His nose and his perfect lids, his straight hair that was replaced by a disgusted form of a raccoon’s fur that made his stomach twist. His head dropped above the mirror. His shirt and pants laid on the pavement and they had gotten circumstanced by Josh’s internal scramble.“I’m perfect! I’m in control! Every movement I make is correctly symmetrical!” He muttered under his breath. His lids slowly forced their way closed. Then all of a sudden his shoulder started to feel the weight of a feather and it affected his bones then his skin shredded and struggled to move.He turned around and jumped right into his messy sheets of bed.Darkness conquered his sight.——His foot stepped inside the hallway and felt the heavy gaze revolving around his head. His airpods were intact in his ears and nobody could pull them out of his hearing sense or else they would receive a blowing ha

  • Mr. President Perfect   Chapter 28: Is that bruises?

His hand leaned against Josh’s back like a failing brake. He was the only thing stopping the fall, the only thing preventing Josh from crashing against the hard ground. On the other side, Josh let his gaze fall open.Tristan’s face appeared before him, miraculously spotless. His nose seemed to command every inch of his features, perfectly placed, like something carved where clouds could sweeten and harden into bone. The image echoed in Josh’s mind like an angel calling for help. Strands of Tristan’s messy hair had fallen over his forehead, brushing against his skin.Josh’s side of the room felt unbelievably glorious. Tristan’s face shimmered under the glow of the ceiling lights.“Are you fine, Mr. President?” Tristan asked. His voice sounded… vulnerable.Josh felt his old defenses rising again, like something sharp crawling back into place. He wondered why fate kept doing this to them.“Yes, I am fine,” Josh said, though his voice shook despite his effort to sound firm.“Are you sure?

  • Mr. President Perfect   Chapter 27: Fall

Josh woke up with new formed of bruises right onto his neck, the purple was deep in a loop where a lit of sharks were trying to swam right onto then Josh moaned. “Ouch, I pretty hate this shitty bruises.” He muttered under his breath. His own father had laid a hand that recoiled his skin into a intrusive purple layered pain. ————— The first thing Josh did was unlock the heavy doors of the theater. There was no sign of a soul sitting in the chairs. He shut the doors and locked the padlock from the inside. He did not want anyone entering while he scrubbed the floor with hands that were about to explode from frustration. He expected Tristan to already be there. Josh stood in front of the massive stage. He shielded his eyes with his hand and searched the shadows. Nothing. "Where could this kid be?" he muttered. He stormed into the storage room. He had to turn this messy theater into a flawless Broadway set to influence the people's eyes. It had to be perfect. He grabbed a h

  • Mr. President Perfect   Chapter 26: Honesty

The heavy doors clicked shut behind them. Josh's ears began to ring as they walked away from the room that had felt like a trap."Why would you do that, Josh?"Tristan’s voice lingered in the air. He froze, his body turning rigid."What do you mean?"Josh didn't glance back. His muscles tensed as a strange sensation roamed through his limbs. Tristan stamped his foot against the floor, sending a chaotic wave of sound echoing down the hallway. The students leaning against their lockers remained silent, their mouths zipped shut as they watched the tension unfold."What the heck is wrong with you!" Tristan snapped. "I’m asking you a question. Why would you take the blame for a devastating mistake that I caused?"Josh rolled his eyes. He felt a desperate urge to stop Tristan’s outburst before the flickering crowd of students."I was just helping you," Josh stated firmly. "In fact, we were both causing trouble. For your information, I’m the one who started it."He stepped forward, his heart
