Elena's POV

Layla left first. Something about trying to prove to the waiter that she wasn't being kidnapped by anyone.

The way the guy looked at me...

I walked slowly towards the exit, my head deep in thoughts.

Layla was Noah's fiancee.

Shouldn't that be better than it being some rich, stuck-up girl? At least Layla was reasonable.

Plus, she didn't expose me in front of everyone... So, that's a win.

And at least I was no longer afraid of the thought of the real Layla just showing up out of nowhere and exposing me.

But...

It still hurt.

Maybe even more than I thought it would.

I blinked and a tear fell from my eyes.

I was tired of blinking back the tears, so I just let it fall.

Noah wasn't mine from the beginning. I was the one at fault for forgetting that for a second.

"Hey... Layla?" A familiar voice called out. I knew he was talking to me but I didn't answer. Instead, I looked away from him so he couldn't see my tear-stained face.

Before I could think of anything else, I

I remain your lovely author, Fave

  • Mr. Reynolds, your wife is an imposter    Chapter 152 Gone again

Elena’s POVI sat on the bed in my room for the rest of the day, constantly checking the time while waiting for Noah to leave. It wasn't that I didn't care that he was going... That I didn't care that after today we might never return to the way we were, the way we currently were... But I just needed him to leave so I would, too.I refused to think about him or anything that could mentally convince me to stay. It was a bit hard to do but I kept repeating to myself that it was for the best. Each hour that dragged made it harder to keep those thoughts at bay. Just when I was starting to have doubts about Noah leaving for his business trip, I heard a knock on my door. I instantly became alert. Slowly I walked over to the door to find Noah standing there, behind him Joshua stood holding a suitcase in his hand. 'This was finally happening.'He was leaving. “You’ve been quiet,” he said opening the conversation. "Bella said you didn't come down for lunch."Lunch? No. How could I? I w

  • Mr. Reynolds, your wife is an imposter    Chapter 151 You shouldn't

Elena's POV Then I got down, pushed his face away and started dressing up. I couldn't take this... This calm and apologetic Noah... I couldn't take it. Fine. If he wasn't going to be angry at me I would go elsewhere. Anywhere... There is no way I was falling for his tricks whether he was doing it on purpose or not. "Where are you going?" Noah asked me... I could feel his gaze fixed on me, it was as though he was watching my every move. I turned around, flipping my hair backwards. "Back to my room." I had less than 12 hours to leave. I had to go and a few things ready. Noah didn't notice it, the way I said it and what I meant. He only nodded and said okay. Then he also stood up from the bed, grabbed his phone by the bedside table and went out to the balcony. It looked like he was going to make a call. I watched him skeptically. Could it be that he wanted to tightened the security in his mansion? Hey... I wasn't a prisoner. But I wasn't a free person either. Noah came bac

  • Mr. Reynolds, your wife is an imposter    Chapter 150 It's all my fault

Elena's POV Light peaked through the cotton curtains and landed on my eyes. They irritated me and I squinted. I was about bringing a hand to cover my eyes when I suddenly felt a shadow loom over me. But it wasn't dangerous. It only protected my eyes. I knew who it was.Memories of last night flooded my head. It gave a feeling of deja Vu. This had happened before. Thus feeling that I was betraying him... I had felt it before. But I ignored it once, and I could do it again. Just like last time, I did it for his good... He didn't deserve a person like me in his life. Only that, this time... I was leaving him a lot less injured. Although I didn't want to open my eyes, I couldn't keep them shut for too long. He was probably starting to notice. So I squinted again, before slowly opening them, one after the other. As soon as they were fully opened, I was met with Noah's beautiful eyes. They loomed over me, staring at me as though I was the most beautiful thing in the world. It f

  • Mr. Reynolds, your wife is an imposter    Chapter 149 The last time

Elena's POV Noah had just told his sister off for me. It could be because he just wanted to sleep with me, or he wanted something more... But what mattered was that Noah has defended me. I could feel the pain emitting from Kaila, her chest rising haand falling rapidly as she spoke to her brother. She was hurt. He had hurt her with his actions. The first time, he brought me in. She did tell him that I didn't seem right, but he didn't listen. I was one of the reasons he lost his memories, and yet he was angry with his sister fot not reminding him. Now that he remembered... He wanted me again. Even I was aware that it was just too cruel to do that to a person. I turned around with Noah still dragging me forward to look at Kaila. Her eyes were red. She clenched her jaw so tight as she glared at me. I noticed a tear slip from her eyes before Noah turned a corner, me with him... Before I couldn't see it anymore. I actually felt guilty. 'Juat two more days.' I swore in my heart.

  • Mr. Reynolds, your wife is an imposter    Defending me

Elena's POV I just said that... To Noah. Even ThoughThe words just slipped from my mouth because of how engrossed I was in the moment. A kiss. He had kissed me and my brain went numb. My body moved on its own, and I kissed him back.I forgot that I wasn't supposed to give him hope anymore. At that moment, I forgot that I was living very soon. I forgot everything but him... Because he was standing in front of me, kissing me. And then he teased me because of it. I had called Jack my boyfriend... A man who stayed by me at my literal worst after giving him his worst and leaving him... Yet, I kissed another man. But Noah wasn't just any man. Noah’s smirk didn’t fade. If anything, it deepened...slowly, dangerously... as he’d just discovered a secret I didn’t mean to give away.I didn't mean to give it away. I had unconsciously revealed the part of me that was still in love with him. When he first took me, I wanted nothing but to show him this part and for him to believe it so he
