~ Chapter 42 ~

Amanda sat on the floor shaking slightly and breathing heavily, it's been over 30 minutes since Andrew left her office but she still hasn't gotten over the fact that he was here, right before her. The memories she buried all came back alive in her head and were tormenting her mentally.

She leaned her head against the door frame and took two deep breaths, trying to keep the tears that welled up in her eyes again from falling and to calm her shaky body, she was still in that position with her eyes closed, when her phone began ringing, it made her jolt up from that position in shock.

Heaving a sigh of relief when she realized it was just her phone, she opened her bag and brought it out, she tried to smile when she saw the caller but her face felt too stiff to move. She sighed once again, and cleared her throat to reduce the hoarseness and crack from crying, "Hello" she said as she picked up the call

"Hey princess! What are you up to?" Alan's voice asked cheerfully
