Chapter 17

I watched as Samael gave the presentation and for some reason, I was not able to look away from him. The way he panicked when I almost broke my ankle made me smile and felt wired yet good that he was worried about me. He stole a few glances at me here, before he fully turned to me when he finished the presentation.

“So, do you think about it?” I turned my gaze from Samael to the men and women sitting around the table, who smiled at me before nodding.

“You have the deal, Ms. Martinez.”

After discussing for a few more minutes, we sealed the deal. Everyone left soon after leaving me and Samael in the conference room. I turned around to see him already looking at me with a smile on his face.

“Congratulations, boss!” Samael said and I rolled my eyes at him for calling me boss, tough a smile stretched on my lips.

“Thank you, congratulations to you too and the presentation was amazing Samael.” I complimented
