Chapter 21

Caroline’s POV

I gulped the glass of water and sighed while sitting on a chair. It was almost noon and I had planned to meet James after a few hours to discuss some important thing.

When I heard the doorbell ring, I stood up keeping the now empty glass of water on the table, and went to open the door.

“Hey, sis!” my nineteen-year-old cousin stood in front of me with a huge grin on his face as he looked at me with his hazel eyes and his brown hair looked like they had grown a little long.

“Mason! How are you?” I asked as a smile appeared on my face.

“I am good except for the fact that my cousin forgot about me.” He said with a sad pout.

“Come inside.” I chuckled and walked inside with him following me after closing the door behind him.

“Would you like something to drink?” I asked him as we both sat on the sofa.
