Danny sat with two of his fellow senior special agents in the office of the head of the field office, they were discussing Wolfgang’s case and a host of similar cases that’s being investigated by agents of the field office.
He’d had to tell his boss, rather shamefully, that he has not really made much progress in the investigation of Edwin Wolfgang, and would like to be given a lot more time to unravel the connection between Wolfgang and the murders. When he said that, Wayne had given him an ice-cold look, and had proceeded to give him a long talk on how he should be stepping up his game, and what his failure to nail Wolfgang would mean for the bureau and the public. They discussed ongoing investigations, and intelligence gathering in the ongoing counter-terrorism fight for sometime, with Wayne giving his commendations, criticisms, and reprimands as the case may be.
