Chapter 09 - Must have been the wind

I was looking directly at my empty plate placed on the table. I'm waiting for my mother to come home and I still hadn't eaten anything yet. Tita Faranh, our neighbor and friend gave me something to eat, but I just waited for my mother to come home. I want to eat with her.

I heard a faint knock on the door, and I rushed over there. I opened the door and my shoulders fell when I saw that it was not my mother. It was Tita Faranh.

"Is your mother not home yet?" she said, and I gently shook my head.

"Where on earth did she go? By the way, have you eaten? " I shook my head again.

"No, I'm not hungry." I noticed her outfit, it looked like she was going somewhere.

"Why don't you go ahead and eat it? I'm sure you're hungry, " she said, then headed to our small kitchen. I didn't follow her, I remained standing by the door and patiently waited for my mother to arrive.
