My heart raced as I watched Genevieve from a distance. She couldn't have recognized me, could she? It hadn't been long since I managed to escape her clutches, and the fear of her relentless pursuit still haunted my every step. Her presence here was unsettling, and I knew I had to hide.

As Genevieve bent down to retrieve something, I seized the opportunity to slip away from the front of the restaurant. The bustling crowd provided cover as I quickly made my way through the busy streets. I had to put as much distance between us as possible.

But just as I thought I was in the clear, I accidentally bumped into a guy. He looked at me with concern and asked, "Are you okay?"
