Three Little words

Sephora didn't know why she was so surprised. It explained so much, how the Shadow and her mate were such close friends, how they seemed to have this unspoken understanding between the two of them. Sephora was just mostly relieved, because it lead her to hope - that maybe there was nothing really going on between her Lord and his Shadow.

Sephora lifted her legs up onto the sofa and crossed them beneath her, leaning forward slightly as she clarified, "Ambrose got you out?" Urging the Shadow to carry on with her story.

Ravyn seemed to understand the hint and nodded with that gentle smile, "Ambrose spotted me just after his mother's death. I was there to collect information for Vince, on how she'd died - when Ambrose approached me and saw how pale I was, how thin. Honestly, he told me straight out, that I looked like death warmed up." Ravyn huffed a laugh, "A really flattering thing to say to a female, don't you think?"
