Olivia.
My heart churned as I ran through the dense, moonlit forest. My bare feet brushed against the forest floor, leaves and twigs. The wind blew through the trees, bearing with it a sense of haste that rhyme with me.
Stealing a glance over my shoulders, I felt my breath harshed as I caught glimpses of the guards chasing after me. They didn’t seem like they were going to give up.
My chest raced with exertion, but fear pushed me to keep running. I must not get caught.. Getting caught means that I will have to face my Master’s wrath. I cannot bear that.
I have seen other weak wolves like me die while he punished them, he was the most notorious Rogue.
Living as a maid in my master’s house has been horrible, all the work we had to do, his rude guests and supporters that made my life a living hell whenever they came to visit him.
Humiliating my pride as a weak wolf, making me live in misery. The other weak wolves were treated this way too. They were stronger and always wanted to pick on us whenever they came. Our master never stopped them because he found it entertaining.
The universe is definitely against me, I didn't have to hear his conversation with his supporters. I should not have let the cups I was carrying slip from hand when I heard him mention that he was going to invade the three strongest pack.
The head of maids asked to serve water to his guests. I carried a tray filled with cups of water and went straight to his office. Just before I knocked on the door, I overheard him announce his plan.
My survival instincts had kicked in when I heard him ask for who was at the door and I ran out of the house for my life.
The moon shone brightly, casting the eerie shadows that seemed to dance along the trees. It was a full moon but this area of the forest was deserted.
Many wolves from the other packs never came here because the guards from the Rogue’s pack were going to kill them.
Branches clawed at my clothes, leaving scratches on my body, I could not catch my breath still I dared not slow down. If I missed a step, those guards would catch up with me.
Shifting into my wolf was not an option. I wasn’t strong enough to do that while kn motion. The chase was closing in, the footsteps behind me were growing louder and closer. The air in my throat tightened, pain bubbled in my insides, threatening to overwhelm me.
Their silhouette glowed in front of me. They were bigger, way bigger than my small frame, if any of them stepped on me, I would get crushed immediately.
“We have not planned to kill you.” One of the guards yelled.
They are not going to kill me? They want to take me back to him alive ?
That was even worse than them killing me om the spot.
I gathered every strength in my body. I needed to move faster if I wanted to escape these people. I closed my eyes and continued to run across the forest using my sense of smell and instincts.
Pictures of possible things my Master would do to me if these guards took me back to his house flashed through my head and those thoughts propelled me forward. A mere maid like wouldn’t be strong enough to withstand the pain and agony from his punishment.
My eyes flung open as I darted between the trees, my mind raced, fervently trying to come up with a plan. I can’t keep running forever and I need to find a way to lose these ferocious guards, which seems impossible.
I didn’t know where I was going because I had nowhere to go. I was just a helpless orphan that has no one. The night was getting darker and the moon was slowly starting to fade off.
My chances of meeting a wolf that could offer me help was a thousand times slimmer. I didn’t even know my way out of this forest, Every thought in my head was messed up, I could not think straight.
My life has been messy and chaotic since that damn prophecy about me came up. Things have not been the same and it kept getting worse daily, till I got myself in this.
The sounds of their footsteps was fading in my ears, as I no longer felt the presence of the guards that were after me. I slowed down to catch my breath, my chest heaving as I crouched behind a cluster of rocks.
Time passed as I remained in that spot, hidden, waiting for any sign of danger for I knew they could be waiting for me to make a move before they jumped on me.
The day began to break silently, the forest started to wake up, birds chirping and animals rustling in the underbrush.
Feeling and confident, I came out of my hiding place and looked at my surroundings, to be sure that I had escaped the guards. The struggles I faced through the night ran through my mind as I walked away from where I was hiding.
I plunged through the underbrush as I drew to the water edge, with no fear in my heart, I leaped, landing with a splash in the cold, knee-deep water, I scrambled downstream and the border was right in front of me.
The famous border that has a red line divides the forest from the strongest packs’ territory. I recognized it immediately I saw, it was just like the other maid back at the master's house talked about.
My heart jumped in joy, finally I escaped them, with deep breath , I started to make my way out of the forest, the sun continued to rise casting a warm light that chased away all of the fears in me.
As I walked closer to the border, I could not shake the feeling that my life was going to change forever.
Two strong arms suddenly grabbed me from the back. “You thought you had escaped us right? Jokes on you.”
Olivia.Just when I thought I had truly escaped, two hands grabbed me, I spun around, eyes wide, knowing that the guards had caught up with me. Panic surged through my veins. They made me kneel, circling me like they were protecting me.They were six in number, their faces were covered with masks, dressed in black clothing that made it quite easy for them to hide and blend when I thought I had lost them in the forest. Their presence reeked of an unsettling energy. One of them had a band tied on his head, he was the strongest amongst the six, that was the way of identifying their ranks. He took a step forward and pulled my chin up.“Please don’t kill me. I'll do whatever you want.” My voice trembled as I begged. The leader with an intimidating voice and aura spoke in a low, menacing tone, “We are not here to kill you. Our Master has ordered that we bring you back to him alive and untouched.”My mind raced in fear, that must not happen. I can’t face Master’s wrath. “Please do not take
Third person.Damon.The Moonshadow Pack, Silverclaw Pack and the Bloodmoon Pack were three neighboring packs. They were the three strongest packs in the territory led by three of the strongest wolves. The three packs only mixed to do business and to exchange goods but they were hostile to each other because their leaders didn't like each other. There was once a time when these three packs were one, but there was a great battle between them and the pack was destroyed. The pack members chose different leaders to rule them and so they created three different packs from one big pack. That was a long time ago and the packs had different Alphas then. The Alphas of the packs had changes since then and they were all different. Damon was the Alpha of the Moonshadow pack. Christian was the Alpha of the silverclaw pack, and Jacob was the The only thing they shared was a priest. The priest was respected by every pack and the leaders of the army usually consulted him before going to fight othe
Third Person. “Damon isn’t here,'' the priest asked, sitting on the chair. “I said this was urgent.”“You should not ask us about him. We are not friends with that arrogant bastard,” Christian said. He was annoyed because of the reason why he had to be at the meeting. As usual he wanted to decline the priest’s invitation like he normally did but he had been seeing things that unsettled his mind.“Something must have delayed him,'' Jacob said in Damon’s defense. Damon was truly arrogant like Chrsitan said but he wanted their feud to end. If it was not going to end, it would not be worse.“I am sure he will be here soon,” he continued, just then Damon entered the priest's house.“You must think we are a big joke, uhn?” Christian confronted Damon. “We were told to be here immediately!” He got up from the chair he was sitting on, then moved closer to Dmaon.Damon ignored him and went to sit in front of the priest without saying a word. Jacob pulled Chrsitian back to his seat. “Stay Calm.
Chapter 5Third person.Christian, Damon and Jacob all stepped out of the priest's house and started towards their packs."You heard what the priest said, we have to go and look for her," Jacob said."I have some business to attend to, I'll meet you when I'm done with it" Damon said as he kept walking."You can do that later, now we have to go find her," Christian said, walking towards Jacob."Yes, the priest said she might be in danger," Jacob said."You don't tell me what to do, okay?" Damon said."We didn't tell you anything, the priest did," Jacob said, trying to calm them down."I already told you I'll meet you" Damon said again."We all have to be there if we find her" Christain growled, taking a step closer to Damon "If she will help save my pack then I need to find her and I'm not going to let you stop that so let's go" Damon took a step closer to Christian and soon the were face to face. Both their eyes were already changing to gold to show that they were about to switch to
Chapter 6.My head hurt badly as I cracked open my eyes, the lights above me were too bright. The bed beneath me was soft and velvety and although my entire body hurt, the sleep was very satisfying. I looked around and saw myself in a room, everything was white, the bed, the walls and even the door, except for a golden chandelier that hung from the ceiling.I couldn't remember coming here and my mind was foggy. I brought my hand up to my head and massaged my temples, feeling the ache come back slowly. Then the memories started flooding in. The meeting. The woods. The guards. The knife. The wolves that found me. Panic rose within me as I remembered the situation that I was in. I don't know who they were or what they had done to me and why I wasn't dead yet. The stab was supposed to have killed me. My hand moved to the stab wound and felt a bandage wrapped around it. I couldn't stay here. I didn't know what they wanted. They might be other packless wolves who were looking to sell me
