“Sign it. Tomorrow at ten, Pack Council Hall.”

I threw the divorce papers onto the table and turned to leave.

“The day you gave birth, he raced through a snowstorm, crashed his car to pieces, covered in blood, on the verge of losing control—yet he still forced down his shift and charged into the delivery room, shielding you and the pup the moment he saw you!

“He moved to the guest room so you could rest in peace—can’t you see all that?”

The murmurs of the wolves, laced with the scent of catalyst pheromones, pressed in from all sides—

“Harper’s right. A mate like that… many she-wolves dream of marrying him.”

“Probably just postpartum emotions. She shouldn’t keep throwing around the word ‘divorce.’”

Hearing Harper’s words, I smirked.

“So much to say—are you touched? Or have you been jealous of me all along? If you like Julian so much, I suggest you get the Plush Wolf Doll’s permission first.”

Julian’s anger faded as he pulled me into his arms.

“Baby, we’ve been together for ten years. I know you. You wouldn’t make a scene for nothing. Is something wrong? Tell me, and we’ll face it together.”

My mother-in-law, Opal, spoke up.

I pushed Julian away.

“It’s simple. I don’t love you anymore.”

The air went still.

I turned to leave.
